Hey gang. Been a little bit since ive posted any build stuff so here goes, my first gizmo! I used 123D Design to model the gizmo based pretty much on only a single point of reference and the dimensions of the calculator board. I then sent it to my 3D printer. Placement was a bit of a guessing game so i dont feel like its 100%accurate but pretty close. I still need to do up the fake nixies and such and clean up and paint.
Finished up my mainboard. Thinking about adding more to it later on. But after some bad painting i cut down some inch lengths of leg hose, finished printing the shelf with attached error box, and some end caps for the tubes to create an overall fake nixie. I’m not 100% satisfied with the end result so i’ll be working to make it look better. The wires going from the nixies are actually just lengths of round plastic rope ment for lanyard projects. The wires from the side of the chips are actual wires. I also had to fudge the holder quite a bit because i couldnt find anything remotely close to an accurate one.
