Not bad, not bad. But you may want to cut off the top terminal on the small resistor. Also, there shouldn’t be any welding on the bottom of the ion arm where it meets with the EDA. Other than that, it’s a good start.
Stellar! ![]()
Thanks!!! I have already cut off the terminal and the weld marks were already there when I got it.I’ll post more pics tommorow. Thanks for the tips.Keep them coming!!
Looks great. Are you putting lights in it next??
looking great so far! that paint on your ion arm looks just like the texture on the screen used packs! also i love your weathering on the gun too.
i’ll be keeping my eye on this build ![]()
AWESOME! more reference material for me to use ![]()
Hi, looks amazing .. i have 2 questions:
1-Did you glue or drilled the 2 side disks on the gun?
2-How does one secure the pvc tubes to the gun body?
Thanks
Sal
Thanks all for the comments.I will be putting lights in the gun soon.As far as securing the pvc tubes I used liquid nail and it works wonderful and sturdy. As far as the side disks,Yes I did drill them in.I try to drill most parts i can in just because it makes it that much sronger and less breakable. Thanks everyone for the feedback and I will be posting more pics tonight. ![]()
looking forward to seeing more!
Well today I get home and the proton gods have delivered.I recieved my fiberglass shell and it is amazing. Here are some pics as promised!! The shell is on MMM motherboard and it fits perfect. Thanks gbrob!!! ![]()
Actually that depends on the pack, it varies between packs…

Anyway off to a nice start, and it looks to be coming together nicely…
ooo that looks nice! robs shells really do look great. also love the weathering on the ion arm cap ![]()
only thing i will say is it looks to me like the trigger box needs to be angled back a bit. looks a little too upright.
keep up the great work! ![]()
Looking great, drooling over GBROB´s shell…
But that heat sinck… hurts my soul.![]()
Sal
Looking really good, you’re going to have an awesome pack once it’s all put together.
Especially love that heat sink
So I want to start my pack this weekend and I am just wondering what the best way to do this is.Should I paint the parts and pack separately then put it together or put all the parts on then paint it all at once?
I personally painted everything separate then put it all together. If you are gluing things together (such as the injector tubes onto the powercell), I say paint separate, glue, then spray one more time to make sure any of the glue you use will also be covered up. That’s how I would do it at least.
Yeah I agree. Thanks for the input and i will p[ost some more pics with updats.Sorry if i post to many pictures but I just get to excited on the progress!!!
Here are some update’s!!
I bet your getting excited, first time you put that on is priceless!
