Ok, this is going to be my PKE meter build thread. I will be starting it in a few weeks but want to ask a few questions before I begin. I apologize as I am searching for similar builds as I come up with my questions so I will edit if I answer them myself.
I have a Venkman71 shell that I bought off someone on the RPF. I will be picking up a hyperdyne deluxe kit for it.
The questions I have:
The wings on the kit are one piece and are cut out on the bottom for the LED install. Are you supposed to drill out where the wires would go so they won’t hang out and be visible when the wings are extended?
Where does one find the wheel piece that goes on it as the kit I bought doesn’t have it?
Is the hyperdyne kit pretty much “plug and play”, as in you just place and fix the parts, hook up the battery and it’s good to go? I’m purposefully oversimplifying that statement by the way.
Also, in the Deluxe Kit the “PCB wings” mentioned, are those completely built up wings, wired et al, for installation?
Most importantly, which special tools might I need lol?
