Gold band wrapped around the booster tube with hosing (not yet filled with slime). I’m hoping to be able to fill all the hosing on the pack with slime instead of getting empty green hosing- it just doesn’t look convincing that way.
Though this would be awesome, the result would be an air pocket being created on the top of the slime canister, would kinda ruin the illusion. The way to get around this would to have a small vent hole where the bubble could escape but you risk leaking slime out of your pack. Its a tough one
You can get MDF at Home Depot. It’s brown, comes in 4’x6’ sheets, and is next to the plywood. You won’t find it at Lowe’s.
Also, I found these reference pics:
That looks like a power supply to me. Maybe you could get a dead mini ATX power supply at a small computer shop for cheap and use that. Then you won’t have to drill all those holes.
The slime I’m using (nickelodeon) is really thick stuff. It isn’t runny at all. I also didn’t want to water it down because I want it to last awhile. I feared if I mixed water with it they may eventually separate- leaving the heavy density slime and lighter density water divided in portions of the tubing. So I used a large syringe to push the globby mess down the tubes and it worked wonderfully.
There’s a problem I have working with the Nickelodeon Slimer (or whatever it’s called). It’s the bottom half. Look at it. There’s holes, and a big bulbus grip thing. It’s terrible.
If you think it looks bad from the side. Look at it from a frontal view. Yup, a part of it flattens out, there’s some more visible holes, and that grip is HUGE. First I thought “Meh, I’ll just face this end towards the proton gun and it will be less noticable…” Then I thought “Oh, I’ll cut the grip off and fill the gapping hole with bondo or something. Then I’ll do the same to fill out that flat part with the hole.” But then I thought if I do that I could sand it all I want and it will likely not be 100% flush, AND I’ll scratch up the plastic portions… Then I remembered. I have two of these things!
