my Plasm Distribution System

Why thank you! I really respect your work as well. Your RGB packs look flawless. Gotta love the vent.

I think some of you guys have gotten way too turned on about this “Plasm Distribution System.”

Wait, just saying it out loud gets me randy…

Good job, BTW.

Have you started on the tank yet? Here is my bad drawing on what I will probably do.

dont forget that there is a white box on the slime tank.

This is what I used to make my tank:

No I haven’t started the tank yet. But I’ve been planning for it. I’m likely going to use an empty Oxygen tank. That heat sink box and white box have me scratching my head. I may use some modified Hammond Boxes. I’ll just add a vent/heatsink cast to one of them:

yeah I think the hammond boxes would be the way to go with that.

looking great Red, I’m followin this thread and using it for ref when I put together my game pack ; )

Have you considered adding a tube to the interior to make a dead space or whatever you want to call it in the center of the slime tank? This would save on weight and even give you a space to illuminate the slime from inside.

Also, that HGA is awesome, even if it’s not a radial bargraph.

Yes I have and that’s what I ended up doing. I’ll have pictures of how I lighted it too in the near future. I would be posting pictures at a faster rate but I’m waiting on A LOT of things to come in the mail so I can finish my pack. I’ve also been building HGAs for orders with most of my time.

And thanks!

That’s pretty clever. I like the illuminated slime idea.

FYI, empty oxygen tanks are very HEAVY. We have a small one we used on our ecto roofrack, and you could kill someone with it easily.

The waterbottle idea looks best to me, IMHO… plus you could add illuminated slime to it as well.

Fill em with helium!

Besides, doesn’t one of the characters mention in the game that the packs are somewhere around 100 lbs?

Think of the added weight as accuracy!

You can buy aluminum drinking bottles that are about the right size and shape.

Don’t forget to attach them to the pack with bungee cords.

LOL! I already have the bungee cords. what kind of aluminum bottles do you speek of?

I think he meant these:

I have looked at them for other projects, but not as a 4 pack buy.

Those are way to small. I remember eying thing when I was working at wally World

Looks god so far. I cannot wait to see this all put together with the wand and pack.

Not the one I’ve been looking at. I just bought it at Home Depot.

It’s VERY light weight and it’s a proportionate size! Only problem is that Home Depot seemed to only carry spouts for propane tanks (yes, oddly enough the spouts are built differently) and I had to go back and pick up a Propane tank which I’m not going to have a good time emptying… But it’s the same size and the label was easy to take off for me. It practically fell off. IF anyone attempts this at home do it outside and AWAY from flamable materials. Don’t breath it either. I would recommend going with the Oxygen tank instead if you can find a spout for it.

I’ll eventually take a picture of it next to my unfinished pack just so you guys can have a better idea of its size.

Those look really cool. But I’m going to have to say the water bottle looks more accurate, the O2 and propane cannisters are too flat.

RIght, I understand what you’re saying. I just don’t feel comfortable putting something as flimsy as a soda bottle on my pack. It may not be as dome shaped on top but I think this will come off convincing.

What about just adding the top of the water bottle to the cannister? You’d have the correct shape, and the sturdiness to boot.
