My Trap Pedal - Finished!

Hey, thought I’d post these as I need a question answered by someone!!

So here’s the WIP photo’s. Most parts from gbfans, apart from the project boxes (Maplin), bellows (from an old pedal build - source unknown), tubing, straight connector and banjo (DF).

Now, here’s my question… how do you connect the 20 pin Card Edge Connector to the D-Sub Connector hood? Glue it? Someone please help! lol.

I have a new Card Edge Connector on order as I broke the one in the picture!

That connector is not actually designed to fit the D-sub housing so yeah you’ll have to glue it in place…aka fudge it in

Thanks Colin. I’ll have a go when the new connector arrives!

Well, got this finished over the weekend.

I messed up when glueing the card edge connector to the D-sub by getting glue on the metal project box. When I tried to wipe it off, it took paint with it. :walterpeck: Oh well, I’ll get round to fixing that sooner or later before adding the decals.

In the meantime…

Great work Mark!

Thanks Nick!

Very nice build, Mark. I’ll get around to making one of these along with a trap later in the summer. How heavy is this prop would you say?

It’s not heavy at all. It has a little bit of weight to it though. Enough to be noticeable when hanging off of the trap on the belt.

Where did u get the spring from

Technically it’s a bellows. I believe he got it from a seller who sold cut lengths of it here a couple of years back, I don’t believe that seller is still providing it.

Hey what did you do for the relay? Is that an 11 pin relay or use something’s a replacement?

Accurate relay, if I remember rightly I removed the bottom with the pins and bolted it straight to the project box.

Nice work Mark. Love it
