Hey guys, this is the first time in my like that i wear a GB costume… Thanks to this site, i managed to create, I believe an 85% accurate costume… So i wore it for Halloween night 2 days ago.

I went to this night club with my wife. WHen i got out of the car , the place was packed.. so i was a litle afraid of walking inside with the pack on my back… maybe the hose would break or something… so i left it in my car. When i walked inside people thought i was a PILOT!!! another guy thought i was a military captain or something.. I walked inside with my googles on … some peolple looked at me and commented with the guy next to them, and smiled.

WHen it was time for the contest.. (about 1 am) i went to the car , and put my gear on (not the trap cause i don´t have one Yet) and everybody had their jaws on the floor… a drunk guy told me “Are u going to hunt for mosquitos here?? ha ha ha!” :angryvigo: …

Any ways, i was very happy and had the time of my life… I won 5th place, out of 10 participants… They gave me a huge box of expensive Vodka ! (so i´ll have what to serve on my birthday)

Everything was ok that night, only 2 incidents and 1 casualty happended . I lost one of my gloves… i had them hanging from my belt and totally forgot about them… oh well, that´s a cheap replacement.

When i went to my car to grab the pack, i forgot i had the googles on , so i hit them with the roof of my car, and one little knob fell of. No problem though cause i found it and super glued it that night…

But when i was carrying the Big box of vodka, i hanged the gun on my belt thingy, and the gun fell off.

Boy this thing is strong cause nothing happened to it , just a litle scratch on the hand grip.

Any way, hope everybody had a blast , here is the video of the contest… there was a ■■■■■■■■■ dressed up as mistike from XMEN… The first price took it a chick who was dressed as Snow white… she brought 7 real midgeds whit her…, everybody was cheereing her… BUt the costume looked like those $12 sold at any disney store…

Nice work man! I won 1st place at my office, and didn’t win anything at the night club we went to. It was cool though because the fortune teller and road kill costumes that won 1st and 2nd were very original. The only thing that was damaged for me was the thrower. it got knocked off of my pack about 3 times. it was really crouded in the club and towards the end I put the pack in the car. Anyways, it’s all repaired now and is in safe keeping for next year when my dad borrows it. Glad you had a happy halloween Sal. Don’t drink all that vodka at once now :smiley:

Hahahahaha… no, i won´t drink it by my self… i´ll have a lot of volunteers to help!!!

Sorry to hear about the gun been knocked off … That was my very first concern… And it got to a point that i got really paranoid… i felt that everybody was pulling my pack from behind… i thought that all the hoses would dissapear by the end of the night. Thankfully nothing happend!!!

It´s great that u won first place at the office… now evrybody will tell you that u are the official “ghostbuster” !

Congrats on the win! Somehow, my costume knew it was Halloween. I put fresh batteries in the gear. The PKE combo worked intermittantly. My son’s pack wouldn’t work at school. Parts fell off the pack. But, we had a good time. I haven’t had luck with contests. I missed some, and others were hard to get to with my wife’s crazy night shift schedule. Ah, well, there’s always next year. I may build a lighter pack, though. I had it on 20 min, and it was digging into my shoulders.

Use a fiber glass shell… MIne is scratch build and i don´r regret it.. but the parts are attached to the motherboard… so it would be almoust imposible to dissarmed.

Did you turned the lights on while at the contest? I don’t see the blue lights on on the video.

I could have sworn I felt the same tugging on my pack years ago. I constantly told my brother to check my pack for missing hoses/wires…but it turned out to be just a big case of paranoia.
