Need Elbow Pads?

Found this on ebay, it looks right to me, they just need to be dyed gray to match, but thought everyone here who might need some would appreciate getting the listing pointed out to them.

If it helps, I have recently ordered everything I need to make my own flight suit. I’m waiting on the flight suit and belt to arrive, but I have the Brute Quick Strike wrestling knee pads to use on my elbow. Sure they’re black, but this way, it gives a distinct artistic license to it. The Dick’s Sporting Goods website has the pads for $9.99 each, and Amazon has them for $7.95 each. The only problem is the white “BRUTE” on the pad, but that’s easily fixed with a sharpie.

Any sporting goods store will have white kneepads. You get’em right away and don’t have to mess with shipping and all that.

One would think, but Dick’s didn’t have this particular pad that I found. Plus, the one I posted is black, and you don’t need to mess around with dying it. I found the Brute Quick Strike really matched well to the movie pads, simply darker.

Go to onlinesports.com, just run a search under there search bar for Markwort International Style Volleyball elbow pads, there the same ones from the movie! But they don’t make the gray ones no more, heres a suggestion, if your going to make one from the first movie go with the white ones, if one from the second movie, go with the black ones. The price on these are $13.20 a pair.

I bought mine from the auction i posted and get them for 8.50 total after shipping just gotta dye them grey.

I’m not a big fan on dyeing things, what kind of jump suit are you going to make?

Hey there. I tried order from that site just a week or two ago, and I got a call saying that Markwort Internation Style Volleyball kneepads are a discontinued item and they were in fact out of pretty much every color. For the costume I’m currently making I’ve ended up using Franklin volleyball kneepads instead, which I found at Wallmart for like $8.99. They’re not exactly the same shape but close enough that I don’t think the average person or maybe even an actual Ghostbusters fan would notice immediately. The one thing I was worried about is that they have the brand name in big letters sewn onto them, but after dying them the pad is dark enough you can’t see the letters anymore and the elastic is a nice dark purply-grey and they look great. Once I’ve got a bit more work done on the costume I’ll post some pics if you’re interested.

Oh, hehe, and I guess this is my first post here. I’ve been lurking for a while, I want to thank everyone for the tips and such that I’ve found here, they’ve been a great help!

Luckily markwort arent the only ones in that style. If you search for Defender knee pads on ebay there are some that are almost itentical and a lot cheaper as well.

I bought some from eBay for about 8 bucks total. I think I’m pretty much set for my uniform after I get them dyed.

Thats where I got mine.

How long ago did you order from them? I ordered two weeks ago, and the next day I was left a voice message saying that they were discontinued and they wouldn’t be getting any more.

Anyways, here’s the pads I’ll be using for my costume this Halloween, which I dyed this morning:http://www.gbfans.com/images/pb/ChadGent/halloween_100_0940.jpg As I said before, they’re Franklin brand kneepads that can be found at Walmart. They came out a little dark (the arm band part doesn’t look quite so dark in person), but it makes the brand name on the pad a lot less noticeble, and I’m pretty happy with them. Next year though if I make some changes to the costume I’ll see if I can find the right style of kneepads and replace these, but they’ll be fine for now.

Hi all! I’m still new to this, and am just starting to put things together, but I found these pads online. They sorta look like the Markwort ones, but the sleeves are a little longer.

Very nice find. Those look as close as all the others to me.
