So I have an r2devo light kit and replicaprops sound card setup in my pack. The r2devo lights recommend at least one 9v but I use 2 because they die so fast. Even the 2 9v die quick. The replicaprops sound runs on 3 AAA’s. Does anyone know a safe alternative (possibly rechargeable) to all these batteries? I would like to have one power source if possible instead of separating the two. I know a lot of people use 12v. I don’t know nearly enough about electronics to play with it and also don’t feel like frying my lights and/or sound in the process. Thanks!
On my first two packs I used AA’s, I had a flat 6 cell holder for the lights and a flat 3 cell holder for the sound.
I put them side by side and covered it with some silver painted laminate that looked like brushed aluminum.
This is the only pic I could dig up.
This setup would run the lights for most of the night.
The replica props chips will only take 3x AA batteries any more and you will fry the chip.
As for the lights I’m not sure if your lights will take 12 volt supply. I know the Jupiter electronics kits do and I know the Gbfans sound board can take 12 volts. If you want to run them off a 12 volt rechargeable supply I would swap your sound chip for the new Gbfans chip and speak to the person where you got the lights from about the power supply.
