Never-Before-Seen Ghostbusters & GB2 Pictures!

I always seem to be out-of-the-loop when it comes to dropping the exclusives on here, so if you already know about this, just let me have my moment anyway. lol. With that said, I stumbled upon this site, moviepictuedb.com & looky what I found. Quite a few behind the scenes photos, alternate angles & promo stills, etc. All good stuff, direct from the the studio! Some are taken directly from the films, others are press photos that have been circulated online for years & some are truly never-before-seen (at least to me) of cast & crew members in silly moments. Of course you can’t download them unless you’re willing to drop some loot, but it’s a cool site for any fan of any movie to scroll through. Go ahead, try it!

Most interesting to me is that shot of Ecto-1 (with the smoke) that was used in the teaser trailer & then another with Dan Aykroyd & Ernie Hudson getting out of Ecto-1 with the same smoke at Fort [indistinguishable name]. Was that a deleted scene or just something they were going to use in the montage sequence but got scrapped? Anyone?

Fort Detmerring, a scene that largely only survives as Ray’s dream sequence (The talk between Ray and Winston about Revelations was intended to take place as they made their way to the Fort).

Thanks for the info, Kingpin! The way they cut it in the teaser, I thought they were simply coming out of the firehouse. I wonder if the Fort Detmerring scene exists intact or are we just left with the pictures & descriptions? Hmm.

It could exist somewhere, but to date only photographic stills have come to light.

cool stuff…

but… what kinda stupid site is that…?

you have to ‘pay’ for evey blurry picture…

found the same pics, free here:

Thanks for the alternate site, NessaSan.

Some are on the official gbs site

I don’t recall the Detmerring footage being used in a trailer. Link?

Some nice pics in there. Not all of the ones on the ‘pay’ site are on the free site, but a healthy chunk of them are.

COOL! It looks like some of the shots of the Ectomobile pulling away at the end of the film were taken by the background extras playing media/photographers. They’re a little too sloppy to be from a professional film stills photographer. Cool stuff! I’ve never seen them before.

The 0:33 mark. It looks like it could be part of the sequence we see in the pictures…or is that really the firehouse?

Now I’m confused. The doors look like the firehouse doors in the first clip, but if you look at the HD version, the “smoke” is more evident:

The 0:30 mark.

The shots from both trailers are of Ecto-1 leaving the Firehouse, not entering the fort.

That echoes my thinking exactly.

I especially like the shot of Sigourney in the front seat of Ecto, looking past Bill, right at the lens of the photographer.

As near as I can tell, that’s from the moment when the doorman gives a little salute to the brim of his cap.

I had hoped we could figure out which extra snapped that shot, but the movie frame is cropped so we can’t see the crowd on Ecto’s passenger side at the time.

Those two shots of the bar lights in both trailers are definitely two different takes/angles, ill give it that. But doubt theyd repeat the same shot for two different scenes.

That different angle would be B-roll footage, an alternate take of the Ecto-1 reveal scene.

Wow, I can’t believe how way that quarter panel is on the Ecto! A little part of me hoped that there would be a picture of that mystery box on the opposite side of the radar dish plate…hopefully one day a pic will turn up though.

Where is this mystery box located, exactly? Is it not in any of the photos here at all? Is there a chance it’s actually part of the shooting equipment and not actually part of the car? A camera rig or something?

I should’ve been more specific, it’s on the back of the roof rack, the driver’s side. There are a couple pictures where you can see some cable and wire loom around it, but it’s only seen on the car during the movie and never again.
