Does anyone know how to come across or reproduce the Prop from the original movie. The advertising magazine props? Like when they are on the cover of time magazine or the atlantic???/ If so email me at [email protected]
Since the original Time magazine cover has been owned by people in this community that were gracious enough to share scans of it, it’s be replicated very well…
As for creating your own, you sit down in photoshop and get rolling…
I am talking about in the film when they start busting ghosts and the movie uses fake newspapers and The atlantic and time magazine. I want to get my hands on that prop they used in the film. Or reproduce that one. Do you know how to go about doing that?
He told you have to replicate the Time Magazine.Members of the fandom have owned the original TIME Magazine prop from the movie and there are scans of it out there,find the scans and you can then recreate the cover.You will need Photoshop or a program of the like.
Im sorry maybe im stupid but i dont know how i could find that member or the scans still. Im not trying to annoy my fellow members where someone told me in my other post to stop writting about this. Im new on here and still dont really know how to locate that item or members. So i felt like the other members could help find the scan for me or a link. Please help. ideally i would like to buy the prop from the member who has it. Please help

With regard to your question…
Trust me, this is coming from a guy who owns/has owned multiple original GB pieces: If you’re looking to buy an original prop, expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $5000+. If that’s your intention, I’m sure those that own originals will speak up eventually.
Im willing to pay a good amount for this item! I want those people to come out and help me. Sell me your time magazine or atlantic! To be honest with you this is the last piece i am looking for where i already have venkmans pack from the 2nd film. The first ever poster print for the first film, and a venkman flight suit from the 2 films. My cousin worked on the set. I also have the cast signature. This is the one piece of info he didnt know to much about. Yes i want that original time and atlantic.

But again, regarding those the TIME and the Atlantic mags: I’ve not heard that either of those two pieces are around. I used to own the original OMNI, but have since sold it off. If you DID find the other two, expect to pay a relatively large sum.

Okay, I gotta be honest here, I recognise an obsession when I see one and I think you’ve hung a lot on the hope of being able to own those mock covers, should some members of this community own one, or both, there’s no guarentee they’re even remotely interested in selling them. For as badly as you desire to own them, they might as strongly wish to keep them.
I just hope you realise there’s no guarentee you’ll ever end up owning them, and should they go up for sale you will have to act fast because if they aren’t sold on eBay, high interest objects sold in the forums have a tendency to sell lightning-quick.
Like Greg, I’m also interested in seeing photos of this flightsuit and Pack… When you say you have a “Venkman flightsuit from the 2 films”, do you mean to say you have a Venkman flightsuit from each film, or a suit used in both films? Because I have to say, if it’s the latter then I find it extremely unlikely it’s a suit used in both films as they put together new suits for the sequel.
I would like to see a pic of the suits and pack…
did I hear new references pictures? There’s some angles I’d like being covered…
Collectors don’t always hang out on forums, but posting about it will surely attract more attention then not talking about it. Good luck on getting the new items for your collection.

Personally, I’d like to see the outfit in particular. As someone who has handled an original GB2 flightsuit quite extensively, I’d like to see how yours compares. And to reiterate the above, no suit was used in both films.
Same w/ the pack…plenty of folks here that I’m sure would be interested in some comparisons.
But like I said…waiting patiently for pics. Skeptical until shown otherwise.
You can be skeptical all you want. I have nothing to prove to greg or anyone else on here, Flightsuit is from the 2nd film as well as the pack. Both items werent used by muarry but were stand by’s for him. My cousin worked on ghostbusters 2 , coming to america, space jam, and what about bob. All classics from there i got alot of items that he obtained for being a crew member. He also got me AN AUTOGRAPHED PICTURE AND ROLLING STONES MAGAZINE. GOT SOME OTHER GREAT STUFF AS WELL. I LOOK FORWARD TO COMPLETING MY COLLECTION ONCE I GET THAT TIME AND ATLANTIC.
