I have the light kit for my pack but can’t find a place to install switches..if anyone has this kit can you please help me out. I’m really lost right now
I have the same kit. I am planning on putting a switch on the 9v battery connector and have it come out on the powercell box.
Hopefully, someone with electronics knowledge will chime in. I would like to know recommended switch type and do we solder it to the positive or negative lead of the battery connection.
Cheers
Sebastian
Is it just the pack lights or do you have the gun lights too? If you have the gun lights, you wire the two together and use the switches that come with it to turn all the lights on. If it’s just the pack lights, what you will need to do is to buy a switch or use the one you already have in your thrower. Cut the positive wire for the battery You’ll have two exposed wire ends. Solder a long piece of wire to the end leaving the battery, as long as you need it to get it up to your gun. Your switch should have 3 or 6 prongs depending if it is SPDT or DPDT. Solder the wire to center or one of the center prongs. Next, using another piece of wire the same length, solder it to the other side of the battery wire, what runs into the light board, and run that up to your gun. Solder the wire above the center prong you soldered before. This will complete the circuit and the switch will act as a circuit breaker. You should do all your soldering without the battery attached
