As you all know Halloween passed and hope everyone enjoyed my personal favorite holiday. Unfortunately mine was not so great as my wand took a plunge. I was feeling confident and decided to enter a Halloween contest . Unfortunately, my waist belt decided to undo itself with all of my gear/wand on stage in front of many spectators “embarrassing”. The wand sustained damage with fractured gun ears and gun box along with the “welding” around the rear handle connecting to the gun box. Also, the pack lights stopped working. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to acquire the replacement parts or fix the damaged parts ? I have several photos of the damage but and can provide via email. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.
You might try posting some photos of the damage in this thread. I’m afraid no one’s going to want to offer any advice if they have to be e-mailed photos.
Thanks for your help, here are a few photos of the damage. Several pieces are fractured and pack lights no longer work. The wand lights are fine, appears to be old school electronics ion the pack.

I wouldn’t know about the lights, but the gun damage looks fixable to me. You will need to strip it down to the main parts, re-glue things using strong glue (epoxy, gorilla glue, etc), maybe reinforce the insides with epoxy putty, fill cracks, and repaint it.
Yeah, it might take some work but it does seem repairable. Here’s a post by Alex Newborn who did some repairs to his thrower just recently. The pics/info should at least give you an idea of where to start and what’s involved. Good luck!
I was able to repair the gun box/ears/lights with some hella strong adhesive. What should I use for the weld effect around the grip ? Thanks for the help fellas
Yeah, a two step epoxy is what I used to fix my ear that also broke off so that should be good. As for the handle, it appears Alex used epoxy putty in his post above. Not sure why it shows twice, maybe admins merged the two threads.
I’ll try the epoxy putty for the weld effect. Any idea where I can locate the intensify button on he thrower ? Also, any suggestion on what flat black paint I should use ? I’m thinking about tackling a another pack in the near future, any suggestions on who/where I should acquire the most accurate material ? Most likely will place lights/sound in the pack and not sure what chip/board to go with ?
Plumber’s Fix-it-stick should work to give you the fake welds and glue it back together, its epoxy putty and is easily sourced out at the Home Depot, Ive used it a million times on different props and its great stuff.
