I would say you would have a hard time building an accurate pack for $100 or even $200 if you are honest with the numbers… You could built a kit bashed version for that amount though…
I have well over $1000 dollars in parts alone and have not even started any construction…
Price all depends on how accurate and clean you want the pack, real parts like the Clippards are costly, as are real metal knobs, and other metal parts… Electronics are expensive as well, and if you want to source the other found parts like the Legris Elbows & Straight, Nycoil Banjos those parts could set you back a small fortune in themselves…
Iol I was just pullin numbers out of my ■■■■. Yeah for an accurate pack, you will need a lot, but just for something with junk found around the house and such and buying stuff, it can fall around that range. So far on mine I have spent not even 100 yet.
Depends also on the time of year 
I have about $1,000.00 in materials alone, not to mention labor hours. There is a For Sale forum here if you’re looking to buy.
try making one first before u buy it. youll appreciate it more. and take more pride in it. nothing is better than saying i built it, to one of your friends.
Were the knobs on the originals all metal?
Yep. Except for the stunt guns, they were molded in foam on those.
Wow - I just typed a really long really sarcastic response to this… and then deleted it… I just get tired around halloween time… Maybe I’m getting to be to nice here.
Plain and simple - unelss you want to spend WELL OVER 500 DOLLARS (MINIMUM) you will either have to keep a REALLY close eye on ebay and hope you don’t get ripped off… buy a $30 inflatable costume from Rubies… or build one yourself out of household items.
Pretty much all options except the inflatable pack are well documented on this website! But if the idea of reading and reading old threads for weeks at a time makes your head hurt… then you’d better be what I consider rich!
