Hey everyone,
I’ve started a new wand build and purchased it from TC. I’ve read his build threads and viewed his videos but I can’t quite find the “correct” answer on how to secure the trigger box to the rear instrument bar. I did message TC but haven’t heard back.
The new trigger box doesn’t have a stand-off or build in pegs to screw into. However it does look like it has drill markings for a set screw. I figured I’d ask the community, specifically those who’ve recently purchased his wand kit.

Thanks!
I had the same issue with mine, I think the old throwers had a screw attaching but the new ones do not. It’s hard to tell from the picture but yours appears to be the same as mine. On the inside of the trigger box there should be two indents and on the piece that you connect it to there should be two lumps. It should click together, though mine was a little loose. What I did was take some gaffers tape (you could use any tape really) and cut a thin line that I wrapped around the piece which is connected to the thrower body. This really helped snug everything up and I’ve never had an issue with them separating since then. Hopefully I explained that well enough and it makes sense. But I’m sure you could also drill a hole on the underside for a small set screw as well if you wanted to.
Makes perfect sense!
I just assumed using set screws so if any maintenance needed to be done, it could be. I don’t want that box sealed shut permanently — I went a little wild with the gorilla glue on my first wand and immediately regretted it when I needed to adjust something. But I also want to build it the “correct” way, while trying to make it as accurate as possible.
I was in the same boat, and using the tape was a perfect compromise for me. I can pop the trigger box on and off easily without needing tools, but at the same time it’s secure enough that it won’t fall off. But using a little set screw would also work great, just depends on which route you want to go!
