Alright, if you have an old medicine bottle cap, a film canister, a bank pen and a toothpaste/glue bottle cap, you can build a clippard. I am not a purist. I believe that there is a certain texture that each of the pieces in props have that can be replicated without getting the exact replica pieces. So, for those interested- check it out. ![]()
Here are the ingredients and tools.

Parts list:
*Film canister
*toothpaste cap
*medicine bottle cap
*Bic ballpoint pen (gutted)
What to do:
Cut a hole large enough for the pen shaft in the bottom of the film canister and the medicine bottle cap. Insert the pen shaft through the medicine cap, then place the film canister, open side down, on top of the medicine cap. Push the pen shaft through the hole in the film canister. Now, glue the canister to the cap. Take your toothpaste tube cap (it doesn’t have to be a toothpaste cap; just a small, ~1 cm dia. ridged plastic cap will work) and cut off most of the lip on the top, so you have something resembling a valve knob about 1 cm high. Then glue this to the tip of the pen shaft.
All glued together!

Another angle.

I made my own label using photoshop, printed it off and applied it to the prop after giving it a test coloring with a couple of sharpies.

When I get some paint I’ll do her up right, but I’ve saved myself a lot of time and a lot of money by gathering things for my pack this way.
What do you think?

P.S. If anyone is interested, I can put the clippard label jpg. up for you to dl for free.
