I keep wanting to make a Montel Williams joke but I can’t come up with anything because I like Montel too much. I have read very little of what anyone has had to say, because I care very little for what everyone has had to say at this point the thread break down.
One, Yes people have the freedom to listen to whatever type of music they like; Different people have different styles so calling those who choose not to listen to rap isn’t “closed minded” and they’re not biased. There’s a large number of people listening to rap, but I’m not one of them. Nerd Core; Yes; I’ve always tried to attend Nerdapalooza whenever it’s in Florida. And nobody can compare that to rap, because rap music isn’t mixed with 8-bit music.(and that’s all I’m saying about it, Now back to the “Actual” topic)
Two: I agree with Ty, As long as you have that patch on your uniform, more people will recognize that than they will your prop and won’t call you a phony or wanna be; just because your pack is slightly different from the movie one. While working on the shell for my pack last year, I “Borrowed” a friends’ home made wooden pack. It was weighed down with some insulation and the lights had to be turned on from the inside and the gun didn’t stay connected nor had the dixie cup bracket. And even the hose fell from it( because I didn’t go out and get electrical tape) But no one cared. It’s about having fun and interacting with the public.
lol what? If you’re comparing me to Montel based off my avatar, okay lmao. Montel always had that lady who talked to dead or something on that show, so I assume having a Ghostbuster wouldn’t be too off. Too bad my show is cancelled :walterpeck:
I do dibble-dabble into making beats, both techno and hip-hop, but have been getting in chiptunes lately. Ah, 8-bit. I should send u my work sometime.
Exactly. It’s all about having fun. Most casual people you’ll run into won’t even remember half of the character’s names from the movie at this point (which is why GB3 desperately needs to be made) and won’t care about anything else. I doubt most of us barely cared about accuracy until we stumbled on these forums. My original idea for doing a suit revolved around dickies and some bull shit cheap patch I found online. I didn’t start caring about other stuff until I started reading posts. If those lame halloween store GB costumes are okay with the public, I’m sure anything we throw together is going to look marvelous in comparison.
But I wouldn’t have got it on first glance, until I saw the mood slime in a jar. Although, a toaster in the other hand would have won you 3 more points extra credit.
And how the hell did you make that slime. It’s ACCURATELY SNOTTY.
He knows, he was being funny when I made the comment that people will recognize your a ghostbuster when they see the patch. And who knows, someone might come up and ask you, “Who/what are you supposed to be”. Like the one time at a bar, some chick asked me what my logo patch meant, after staring at it for 10 minutes. And after explaining to her what it was, She asked “What do you do?” Me: Catch ghosts. Her: “Really!”
A flight suit with the proper patches on and in the eyes of the public, you have an accurate uniform. As for my self, I’m torn. I love to flex my creative muscles, but I also love the challenge of making an accurate prop.
