Slime..........

I was looking at some pictures of when Venkman got slimed in GB I, and I thought wait a minute that looks alot like the shampoo we use on our dog. Its the Sergeants Skip-Flea and tick shampoo. We buy it at Wal-Mart. I think next year for Halloween Im gonna go for the Venkman just slimed look and use this stuff. Anyways just lettin ya’ll know, heck some one may have alraedy suggested this??

Ha, I remember as a kid going as slimer, that would’ve come in handy back then!

the slime use in the movie was some rare name ( poly whaterver ) that you can buy in home depot is a substance like sand when u mixit whit water becomes slime , i think is a mixture use with glue to put wallpapers , that is use in many shampoos is how give the slimy effect in the stuff gave volume or something when i search for the name i bring it !!

The stuff in the movie was Methecellulous - Chinese food starch, but I like the shampoo idea myself. You can mix a little corn starch into the shampoo to thicken it up a bit. I’ve used hair gel before and it works good too. Hair products are really the best since they usually have a pleasant smell to them.

If you’re a fan of “real” slime, you can buy a PVA version in kit form from Steve Spanger Science…

Fun times no matter what you use!

I actually use methyl cellulose at my job… it’s a thickener in my donut glaze! FYI Making slime from it is a pain in the behind. It comes out lumpy as hell, unless you use a mixer, which I didn’t have to fool around with at the time. Oh, and it needs hot water.

Rubies sells this special glow-in-the dark Predator slime online!!!

you’ll need to be registered on a.s.a.p. (well ezboard technically) to see the first two

I wonder if that stuff can stain a uniform. It would be cool to go out on halloween with some of the stuff on your shoulder, but there is the danger of staining you uniform.

Actually I’ve been to Ghostbusters The Ride back in the early 90s around 3rd grade. We went to Universal Studios (didnt know the boy next to me at the time would grow up to be my b/f hehe) and I was one of their “volunteers” the stuff they used was so gross and so sick it was cool. turns out it was a mixture of the old Nickelodean GAK and some wierd rubber stuff That I’m not sure off. What my fan film buddies and I are using now is that “snot” mixture stuff we found at a dollar store and half we mixed gree and half we mixed pinkish red (you know the hate slime… “You sicken me you disgusting mucus!”)

hope that helps~

Well monday I got a bad sunburn, and the stuff we bought at walgreens looks like slimer slime in a tube, and it isn’t as slimey, like, stringly and stuff but.. it’s pretty ishy.. Maybe add in some corn syrup and it’ll be exactly what I’d want.

Well my brother bought that steve spangler kit and all I have to say is EW~ Gross~ A Ghost Sneezed On me~ lol that stuff really worked~ I love it ^^ Thanks for finding it ^^

It could be. Selson Blue has Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose in it… and Mythel Cellulose is what Harold Ramis said was what they used for slime…

Allow me to throw this concoction on the table…

However, it’s not for clothing.

I have slimed myself several times using the clear wiring and cable pulling lubricant. I used to be an electrician and realized one day what it could be used for. It dries in about a half hour to hour and doesn’t stain at all and is non-toxic. i just carry and extra bottle with me.
