It’s not like he trying to sell it, so posting this like for a bit of fun seems ok to me.
I think cool different things like this is usually an exception. That may be up to AJ, I dunno. Stuff like links to proton packs and other equipment stuff is usually frowned upon I guess. Stuff that people are constantly looking to get a good deal on can be more frustrating/annoying. I think this is okay. Something cool for the sake of conversation. 
I really don’t know. It is a pretty cool costume though!
Here is the issue…
I have personally got an Iona show polisher on Ebay for 99 cents, I have got others for opening bids as well uncontested no other bidders…
Now do you believe that I would have got any of them for opening bid uncontested if someone posted a link to the auction on a GB forum?
This is what it boils down to, if an auction is spammed on GB forums then a bidding war happens and the only person that wins is the seller… It’s really not helping anyone to post the auctions, those that want the item bad enough already should know about it if they are searching…
I can see the point with regards to auctions for things like packs, pke etc for the reasons above.
But cut a little slack for the auctions posted for fun like the slimer outfit. Let common sense prevail.
it is standard in prop forums to not post live auctions.
if you find it interesting, maybe some of your fellow community member is currently trying to get a low end price on it; while others don’t even know about it. Maybe a typo? maybe wrong description?
posting about it only makes that you cannot get a low end price.
If you want to post something “interesting” - wait for the auction to be completed.
Maybe its useless for you, or funny, or whatnot. But its worth the bid for someone else. Also it can mean they won’t get this sweet deal they were hoping for because of you.
If you are the seller, then you are allowed to post to boost your visibility.
Its only a matter of being nice with other community members.

Maybe I should have just posted the pictures and said I found it on the internet and not have mentioned ebay. I’ll be sure to wait for the auction to be over or whatever, for future post.

You do know that people bump their own bids on ebay to get the price they want right? Posting it on here will hardly ruin it for someone wanting a ‘deal’.
Some people need to lighten up a lot.
I meant people post thimgs on here in good faith for other Gb fans to see and get moaned at for doing so. I posted a great ebay auction on here for a Miller Meteor and got grief for posting the auction i only posted it because there may have been someone after one and maybe they had not seen the auction.

Wow… May I asked how long you have been around the prop community and/or been collecting hard to find items? This community has a long history of watching posted auction sky rocket in price usually to absurd levels, thus the reason many forums strictly forbid it…
As for shill bidding it happens, but hardly all the time…
I think you need to get a grip on how prop forums and communities are run. Auction links that are not yours are not allowed on pretty much every prop forum, as has been stated. The more visibility something has the more potential for high prices it has. In the end it doesn’t matter what you think, it’s how things are done because it’s the most fair for everyone involved.
Shill bidding happens on most auctions if the seller is not a shop, I have been asked to do it for most my friends and familes auctions and have seen it being done for things I have tried to buy only to be offered a ‘second chance’ after the end of the auction or to see it relisted because the winner surprisingly didn’t pay up. I’d say its common practice.
It’s simple though, if an auction price rockets up to a price thats absurd, then don’t buy it. To soley blame it on people posting links on here or other sites is just silly. For sought after items there will be enough interest and people looking for it without links being posted makikng any difference anyway. Most, if not all the people looking at this particular link will have clicked on it, laughed, closed the page without buying it as THEY DON’T WANT A SLIMER COSTUME.
For my time here, well It’s a matter of months. As for collecting hard to find items then it’s ever since I became interested in collecting many moons ago. I have searched for har to find things many times, not for prop building, but other hobbies. Yes bidding wars are a pain but I stick to my budget I set for the item and won’t pay over. If you can’t control yourself and end up paying over the odds for something because you can’t control you ‘bid now’ finger then maybe ebay is a dangerous place for you to be.
Thanks for your opinion on what you think I should do. You are very quick to offer your opinions on people and what they should be doing. Now it’s my turn. I find you obnoxious, rude, arrogant and obtuse. You think your opinion everything is the only opinion that matters. I would have dealt with you by now on several items because what you make is excellent stuff, but to be honest you just put me off more every time I read a post by you. You wonder why a lot of new members don’t stay on here for long? Because the clique forces them off with their attitude. I have had contact with members thanking me for sticking up for them against the ‘■■■■■■■■’ element who think they own Ghostbusters!
I never came to this forum for the prop side. I came for the game side. I decided to make a pack because I always wanted one and there are a few good people on here who helped me. I built one. Now barring minor repairs my prob building days are done.
If I get banned now so be it. I’m past the stage and age of caring whether I get banned from a forum. Infact if I could I would remove myself from this site to save the hassle. Maybe one of the admins could do it for me. So to all those who have helped me along the way, a big big thank you.
