So...Any honest worries?

I for one am a little nervous on the aiming of the proton beam. It seems like it’s a little hard to stay on ghost and also kind of random. Kind of like firing a chain gun. Destruction is half the fun though. Is there any lock on mechanic? That would make the game a little easier but actually at the same time a little difficult to do because I think there are quite a few things happening at once so that mechanic might not work. This I believe is my only worry. Maybe the AI keeping up or progressing the scenes but that is something I read on here so I don’t even really know if it’s an issue. Any one else?

nope. not expecting a triple a title. just hoping itll be a fun good romp, and the controls are as tight as they possibly can be.

Not the game itself because I know I’ll love it (not because I’m a GB fan, but because I’m easy to please), I just worry that it might not be well recieved. Won’t ruin my enjoyment of the game one bit if it’s not, but I really really want the game to do well on all fronts.

The only things I’m worried about are the length of the game and whether or not its funny. The length issue isn’t as much of a concern since there is co-op, but the story is a bit different. This is a sequel we’ve been waiting 20 years for and as long as it is funny (and it does look like it will be) I’ll be a happy customer.

I’m not worried at all.

Judging by what we’ve seen so far, this is the best and most anticipated game ever.

Did I imagine reading somewhere that the script is massive?

Man I sure hope the script is massive! I just have such high hopes just like I did for Fable II and that game had glitches horrible! It did not work well until I could install it to the hard drive. I think my worries are on the software side and not so much the content. I know the story and game play will be awesome! I really don’t care how it’s recieved I think the game will be loved by all the fans. It’s gotta be better than the previous ones. I think the length of the game will be just right.

Dan said the script was like 600 pages.

I’m worried the game’s new weapons will make it feel too much like another shooter, rather than just catching ghosts. I want it to be creepy and difficult. Not Duke Nukem blast your way through.

Also…if the game’s a smash, that just improves the chances of another movie…so yeah, I really hope it succeeds. I don’t think any other game in history has had an entire franchise riding on it.

No gotta about it. Hands down it is the ultiamte GB gaming experience.

600 pages rings a bell. Thats a big script.

How long cold you play a next gen game armed with just a proton stream. There was no more then 5 minutes of proton stream in both movie put together.

Unfortunatly this is a shooter. And I love Doom, if all i had was a pistol…it would suck.

Yeah, I know. But it ignores the reality of what catching and trapping ghosts is. It has to add this element of “destroyable” ghosts and alternate weapons to make it work in the confines of a video game. It’s stuff like that that takes away from it a little. That’s not ghostbusters. I’ll probably keep to my proton pack the whole game…at least as long as I can. That’s just me though. I’m not a video gamer…I haven’t played a shooter in probably 5-6 years. I’m just into this because I want another movie.

I was actually really worried that the looming video game would bring an onslaught of people who knew nothing about Ghostbusters, didn’t take the time to read the boards, and would be compelled to ask stupid questions about every stupid little thing that came to thier stupid little mind.

Lucky me I was wrong.

Just take a moment to think about what you said.

Its a video game, not a movie.

I wished that they called this whole franchise ‘demigodbusters’ things would have been so simple.

HA

It was somewhere around 250 pages!

Ok. Let me break it down for you. You’re catching stuff, not killing stuff. You want a game out of that, you focus on making the A.I. harder to capture. It’s still a bloody game. There’s a way to do it. But no, we get levels full of small, combustible ghosts to blow up. Yawn. Yeah, that won’t get old.

i could think of worse things to happen like the game being canceled again or the game being pushed back for another month.

But you forget, it isn’t just about catching ghosts, there are also a lot of puzzles/collectables that need to be solved/found throught each level. Not to mention, the massive amount of destruction to be done. Plus! IT’S GHOSTBUSTERS!!!

I’m sure that there will be some sort of sesitivity control adjustment in the options menu (especially for Sixaxis Motion Control). And I haven’t played one shooter game, where the aiming was spot on, so I’m sure I’ll be used to it (if it’s not perfect).
