So, the 360 patch is finally coming soon

So will 360 owners suffer the same fate?

I guess we’ll find out because I’m sure I fulfilled the “Payday!” requirements long, long ago before we even knew it was glitched. I would be slightly perturbed if one of the achievements is still impossible to get after buying the game on the release date, paying a full $60 for it, buying an XBOX360 console, fulfilling all the requirements, and waiting forever for a patch… while someone who waltzes into the store and sees Ghostbusters for $20 will have an opportunity to get all of the achievements.

So you are entitled for the achivement since you spent more money?

If you ask me, we should all get what we paid for.

And if you ask me, it’s just an achievement. It adds nothing to nothing. Adds no content, awards no bonuses. It’s novel, sure, and fun to get. But it is not something to get your underoos in a twist over.

There’s a sense of completion that some of us wish to have. In fact there’s a whole facebook group that was formed to get behind the cause.

I really don’t think that’s what I said at all.

Lot of people feel the other way, adds a sence of accomplishment to the game, why there are so many websites, youtube clips and things about it. Adds a new level to the game. Some like you dont care, but alot do, its cool when you get that pop up worth 20, 30, 40, or more gamerscore. I for one am very excited for this patch.

Hopefully when it comes out, maybe they’ll surprise us with some stuff in the marketplace…

A mug, a t-shirt, or even a balloon for my avatar?!?

Oh for the love of humanity, ANYTHING!!!

I know its really early for this but has there been any word about whether or not the patch is going to fix other multiplayer bugs? I was just playing a match five minutes ago and was in one of those situations where the slime tether never pulled a ghost in, and I recall that happening since the first time I played online. It’s not a major issue, obviously, but I’m just curious if other bugs are being patched with the achievements.

Me along with a sh*t load of people i play with online can’t wait for this we are all “■■■■■■■■” players and have a big love for this game.I also really really hope they bring out the Van-Horn station & Gozer Temple to download for extra maps that would be awsome

Sweet.

In the meantime, there’s nothing wrong with the Leaderboards. I’ve hit 37th for Total Career Cash and I’m aiming to set a high mark that no one else can touch!

where’s PC multiplayer? D:

How do you see your total career cash? i can only see my instant cash and campaign cash. But I can’t see the total.

In your “STATS” :walterpeck:

I mean like a leader board for your total "career"cash. For both instant and campaign (which i’m 11th  lol) added together. I don’t think there is 1 for that.

Seriously, it’s like one small section of code that decides whether to run a check and award the trophy/achievement, currently it’s set to only go off when a player does one of the four campaigns to “Payday! Standard” IF they haven’t already done that campaign to “Payday! Standard”. Now that’s fine for anyone new to the game after the patch or indeed some lucky players who had just one out of those four campaigns not done to “Payday! Standard” before the patch and redid that one campaign after the patch. Which is not implausible, due to the specific conditions required for a campaign to be marked as done to “Payday! Standard”, and things like all players passing out, players leaving mid-game, and those sorts of things causing it not to count, which a player might overlook.

Since the PS3 was patched 2 months after release, and it took that long to completely figure out Payday! it’s a small group of PS3 players affected (out of all the PS3 players), but the Xbox patch is coming out over a year after release… how many more people are likely to have met Payday! on all four campaigns… I think a lot more.

Why couldn’t TRI have fixed this in the Xbox patch and release a new PS3 patch? Cost? Seriously, how long can that take to do, is it how it’s perceived by the industry? Surely fixing your product right quickly looks far better than dragging it out! You’re not alone, lots of other games have had release glitches, difference is, lately they’ve acknowledged it and patched it shortly after.

Hard to get excited over “Star Wars Kinect” if their QA team can’t be trusted, their Community Manger doesn’t support the community and Support don’t listen to the customers. That and I remember the Force Unleashed teaser with the Star Destroyer, final game was no where close to that, was still fun, but not close to the teaser, so I never bother with believing teasers will be anything like the finished game, at all.

A lot of you don’t care about Trophies/Achievements, but they are fixture in games, they’re required by both Microsoft and Sony, they’re in every game, DLC’s sell better with them, gamers like them, they should not be glitched or unobtainable, neither should the SIngle player or multiplayer (if the game has it), else it’s a faulty product. Thing is, it can’t be patched, it can be fixed, just needs someone at these companies to listen and fix it right.

If in fact the xbox 360 patch suffers from the same fate as the ps3 patch, then I will be super ■■■■■■ off. Yes, the game was great, it was far superior to what we have had in a Ghostbusters game prior to this one. But when you stack it against some of the other titles that are out there, as far as polish and replay value goes, it’s really a disappointment when you think about how this game COULD have ended up. This game was mishandled from the very beginning. Between Activision dropping the game, Threewave creating a limited multiplayer (and not including it at all for the PC), glitches, pseudo patches, and a complete lack of DLC…I mean what the hell! Seriously!

Afraid so, that’s impression TRI are giving, it’s a shame, but well we’ll be back here again this fall complaining again.

Interestingly.. not sure how I missed this, but Threewave are gone… who on earth is doing the MP servers now, I thought Threewave did, I guess Microsoft must host them. See this link: news

Don’t forget, it was pushed out too soon to meet the anniversary date, though I’m dissapoint they didn’t address all these issues after the release, however you get the impression the Devs feel the same way… CEO/Manager decisions I guess. They may find it comes back to “haunt” them in the future with lower take up of future titles…

How was it “pushed out” to early when it got delayed for a good 8 months? Original release date was Oct 2009.
