It’s obvious that the Multiplayer was not worked on at all when the game was delayed. The Meson Collider doesn’t work the same as it does in the single player, there are numerous glitches, and there are ghosts from the missing parade level that pop up in the Multiplayer. Granted TRI didn’t work on the Multiplayer, but it was TRI that decided to go with Threewave in the first place. Clearly Threewave’s work product wasn’t all that good considering they folded. Doesn’t seem like TRI exercised due diligence.
It was released before they had time to polish it and fix a number of issues on order to meet the anniversary date, release dates are always a best guess and frequently drop back many months all the time.
Oh and the game came out in June 2009! The non-Sony PAL versions were held back till Nov/Dec simply because of an Exclusivity deal, they sat gathering dust in a warehouse for 5-6 months.
Yes I know the game came out June 09 I just typed the wrong thing. I meant Oct 2008! So it wasn’t pushed out to meet the anniversary, it was held back for it.
“WOW” after all this time we finally get told the 360 will be getting the patch, the problem is it’s the cheap ass patch.I’m still glad it’s comeing out but i wish they could have looked into some of the other problems
Funny, the Devs say they didn’t have time to everything they wanted, and let’s not forget the removal of the famous parade level tooting massive crowds… pushed out before it was actually ready. A Dev here has even explained the cherubs difficulty as an imbalance in the code at the last revision and wasn’t time to fix it on this forum.
Are we also forgetting the Activision buy out issue? It was never pushed back for the Anni, it was dropped from its publisher at the eleventh hour, picked up by Atari and allowed to go through extra polish for the new release date to go with the Anniversery.
And guys, it’s just a video game. Am I the only one who remembers playing without achievements?
I’m noticing a disturbing pattern here. You stop making sense this instant!!This is a fan site where all we do is bitch and complain…about everything. :sigh:
No not everything but i think all of us have the damn right to complain about the problems in the game,i know theres nothing we can do about it…but after all we are only human
I remember playing without achievements. I also remember playing without HD, 3D environments, online multiplayer, and a whole host of things. However, games today do have these things, and things that are intended to be in the game should work.
It’s not like we got the game for free. Is it really that far out there to demand satisfaction in a product that you paid for? In my line of work, if I mess something up for a client, I have to go back and fix it, and no, I don’t get paid for that time. Should that happen here? And who takes the bullet? I don’t know exactly, but it shouldn’t be the customer.
I’m glad skanker is here, too, but I’m not going to change what I think or say about the game because he’s here. I absolutely love the game, but I can also recognize that there were a few ■■■■-ups. I am pretty much convinced that everyone who worked on this game is simply awesome, but also realize they are human and there are things that don’t work correctly. There is some middle ground between fanboy and hater. Think about it like this… If the game had sucked, I wouldn’t give a damn whether the achievements worked. I have owned a number of games that had rather serious bugs that went unpatched, and I for one am tired of it in general. Ghostbusters is probably the only title I care about enough to persist in getting a good patch.
So I quit game stop yesterday. I was tired of dealing with entitled ■■■■■■ when their toys don’t work the way they want them to. A year and a half of these pieces of shit making any conversation you want to have completely broken because all they can do is bitch about something even if they “love” it.
Keep typing up your walls of text, and keep trying to compare industries that are not alike, and have different professional values.
But in the end, be thankful you have the ■■■■■■■ game, you don’t even know how close it came to not coming out, continue to bitch about achievements, I’m gonna sit over here sip my tea and know what could of been.
Oh, you guys should all be sending skankerzero thank you letters for having the patience to deal with your self entitled ■■■■■, too.
I managed the BloodRayne community in the past, and they were much much more bitchy.
In the end, I gave 3 years of my life to this game and franchise. My fingerprint is on it. I enjoyed my time on it and I’m proud of the product we were able to produce.
I’m excited to see what the future of the franchise holds, and I hope it will be better quality or at least the same quality as what we produced.
