hi all! after being inspired by our own @EdSpengler, GBReference Library, and ProtonPack Detective over on youtube, I got curious as to which, if any, the “toy” packs by spirit and fun/halloween costumes were modeled after.
I know there’s been plenty of modding on the Spirit Packs, so my intention here was to make a simple post on this.
I’m not going to get deep into the details, unless requested.
First, none of these 3 packs is a direct replica of any of the movie packs, which is great because modding them can turn them into any of them.
However, after ruling out which they cannot be, and which they have the most characteristics:
Life Size Spirit most resembles the 84 Spengler.
80% Spirit most resembles the 84 Stanz.
Fun/Halloween most resembles the 84 Stanz; however the pack contains one detail that rules it out from being any 84 pack AND also contains one detail that rules it out from being any 89 pack!
I didn’t review the 2023 fun pack for 2 reasons: 1, from what I’ve seen and read, it’s not a great pack and 2, there aren’t great photos/videos of it. If anyone has one, I’d be curious as to which this most resembles.
