I just got through my first pack build! Wow what a lot of work! I didn’t start a thread before now so I could just concentrate on getting it done. We didn’t get started til the end of August so we were on a deadline for sure. Thanks to everyone here who posted their builds before. It was a TREMENDOUS help for us to get through ours. Thx to AJ too for getting me a couple parts very quickly to help me out. Anyway it’s not a totally accurate pack but it’s pretty close using Stephan’s plans. I did take a couple liberties with a few things such as the bumper. But otherwise I stuck to as much real stuff as I could including real parts such as Clippards, real aluminum knobs (made by my buddy Bill), and things like that. It’s all scratch built from MDF and PVC. Total weight in the end is 32lbs. Not real light but manageable. I’ve got the GB fans lights and sound in it as well. This was a really fun project. Now we just need to make the goggles, the trap, the gizmo, the … well you know;) So here’s some of the pics I took along the way. Thx for looking!
