Some of you may know I had to take a leave of absence from the prop making community due to my third battle with Hodgkins lymphoma, I finished the last of my treatment at the end of February. Let’s hope it doesn’t come back for a fourth time. Sadly I had to sell my Cnc machine while I was going through treatment to help pay bills since I was unable to work during that time. On the upside, I do have some parts I did make on the machine that I will be molding up and offering to the community in resin form (back to the future Pepsi bottles, TMNT canister end caps & plates, my ecto goggle frames, etc), will hopefully have pictures of the items I will be molding up within this next week. Its great to be back to a normal life again.
Welcome back and glad to hear you’re done with treatment! I’ll send some good juju your way in hopes of that jerk lymphoma staying the hell in remission.
Can’t wait to see the props you’ll be making too! Keep us posted!
Thanks rockman I really appreciate it. Here are some pictures of the TGRI canister parts that I am prototyping into a full run if there is interest. I create the prototypes out of foam then the final part to be molded out of pvc.
Here is a picture of the containment unit I’m also building on the side
EXACTLY how the screen-used props were made. keep up the good work, dude!
Bottle is ready to be molded
Goggles still needs some tweaking
Thought id give an update on this project.
The first 2 pictures are of the pvc endcap

Here is the first cast in resin uncleaned

Only thing missing are the plates, those should be done in the next few days.
These canisters will be offered in empty, full, or different levels of ooze, I’m also thinking about the idea of them broken like this

Let me know what you guys think
Acrylic plates came in the other day, should have 5 canisters done up by this weekend for everyone to see a final result. My target price range per canister will be around 75-80 range.
Are you still considering selling the canisters?
