Eh. I am not so sure about that. I live in Florida, and actually 30 minutes from Universal. I go there so much, I am getting sick of it. Anyway, bottom line is Universal Studios was, is, and always will be the #2 tourist attraction for this area. Disney will always be number 1. There are many reasons why that is.
Problem with it recently, their attendence hasnt only been slipping, its been dropping dramatically. Before Halloween Horror Nights, attendence was down 26% compared to last year. However, I can understand Universal shutting down Ghostbusters, King Kong, Back to the Future, etc. Just because there are a couple hundred die hard fans of a movie, doesnt give them much of a reason to keep it open and not replace it with the next fad. They need something that will attract people to come to the park, having the same rides for older movies isnt going to do that. Also, with the condition that BTTF was in, holy shit, I am glad they removed it.
