Where to find belt hook for gun?

Ive been to every hardware store the last few days trying to find the accurate looped hook that goes on the bottom of the gun to hook on your belt rings, is this something that you have to fabricate yourself?

Okay, this is how it was done in the movies and this is how I do it.

First you have a leather loop on your belt, like this:


And on the bottom of you gun, you take a S-hook and twist the one hook so it’s perpendicular to the other. Then you crimp the other hook shut. You then put a washer on top of the crimped end and secure it to your gun body via a bolt. Like this:


Then you simply latch the S-hook on your gun to the loop on your belt, like so:


Not too hard.

thanks for the reply, I was figuring I had to modify an S hook, but wanted to make sure before going through the trouble. Thanks!

Go to home depot and get a stainless steel S hook. They’ll be with the turnbuckles, not the other s-hooks. The stainless ones not only look nicer than the zinc ones, they’re thinner, so you can twist them with two pairs of pliers instead of a vice and a hammer. Also the thinner one is more accurate I believe.

I just put a keyring on my gun handle and a climbing clip on my belt. SCHWING, the gun’s on my belt. SCHWING, the gun’s off. But you’re probably going for accuracy, right?
