Chance, things dont ALWAYS have to make sense. If you can’t crack a smile at a british accented extraterrestrial paranormal exterminator a-la poorly rendered ms paint doodles then why bother with the crazy roller coaster of life. I weep for your imagination & sense of whimsy.

I think it is both fun and rather whimsical. And yes, I confess that I’m a big Doctor Who fan in addition to being a Ghostbuster fan since, well, forever. Who says it has to make sense? Heck, if you’re creative enough, you can imagine up a scenario where this, may in fact, make sense. I already thought up of 2. Dream big, holly. Your mash up is fun.

Could someone explain to me why Dr. Who is so popular. And how it has survived so long? AND HOW IT LASTS FOR YEARS BUT WE ONLY GET ONE SEASON OF ****ING FIREFLY, IT COULD HAVE BEEN SUCH A GREAT LONG RUNNING SERIES I SWEAR… I’m sorry bout that. But seriously, I don’t understand the worlds obsession with Dr Who.

Firefly died because for some reason Summer Glau is a show killer (unfortunately). Firefly, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Doll House… I cringe when I hear she’s cast in any type of recurring role. And can we discuss the epic cliffhanger they ended SCC on? so unfair.
Also, the death of Wash takes away 50% of the reasons to bring firefly back. A side note: Is it just me or is that character kind of reflected in Joker of Mass Effect fame? I heart Seth Green, but I secretly wish they got Tudyk to voice him.
Dr. Who is popular because it’s whimsical, and time travel is fun. It has it’s down moments, but I found it to be suprisingly well written and very entertaining. Just try not to over analyze it. A big sadface moment happened for the fanbase when Matt Smith became the 11th Doctor. Amusing as he is, His looks appealed to the more obnoxious members of the hot topic crowd and now… yeah. Basically, like the Red Sox, the awful fanbase is a huge turn-off for anyone trying to get into the franchise.

Just out of Curiosity when did you start watching Dr. Who? Myself I’ve been watching it from about the middle of Tom Baker’s run I started watching it in the Early 80’s.
