why?...........

why did egon put the slime in the microwave?..

I can only assume Egon needed to prepare the slime for mood testing by heating it up first.

I have written about a few slime like substances that have different properties at different temps and viscosities. Id say he stole my idea. Bastard.

because using a conventional oven would have taken longer.

I suppose subjecting the slime to microwaves allowed the slime to be put in an emotionally “neutral” state, especially since the microwave itself is supposed to be shielded by a faraday cage (though not always perfectly, as I’ve found out).

HA!

but why does it need to be heated up,was it warm or hot when its coming out of the stairs or running through the old vann horn station?..

He was thawing it out. Don’t you know you’ve got to freeze slime so it will keep?

Doesn’t everyone know you’re supposed to heat your slime to at least 170 degrees Fahrenheit to kill all the microbes before you… uh…

Because they needed to defrost it. Keeping it fronzen will stop it from expanding when Winston is in a bad mood because the other guys keep giving him a wedgie.

Ok,Cus in the film when people get mad the slime feeds of it makeing it hot,but the slime egon put into the microwave was some slime him & ray had been working on,there 4 makeing it cool chilled out slime so to speak,so he put it into the microwave makeing it evil again, well IMO thats how it is :whatever:

I have read Gb 2 the book and if memory serves correct Ray and Egon had collected a lot of “mood slime” and they decided to freeze some of it. I have no idea why, maybe in a frozen state the slime was inert?

What was he supposed to do, eat horrible cold mood slime?

They were likely just doing various tests on it, one of which is how heat defects the slime. If you remember, when Egon was doing his experiments on the arguing couple he kept increasing the temperature of the room. Perhaps they were seeing if increasing the temperature of the slime had similar effects.

You should see the deleted scene where they try to take away the slime’s puppy…

Maybe it was a subliminal tupperware ad?!

“It’s microwave safe” ??

I was hoping he would put Silmer in the microwave… Would have been a much better movie if he did.
