Worst RGB episode

And thats why we like having you around Ben.

If only I could get a job based on knowing which RGB episode is which.

Although, a good chunk of said knowledge is probably from just reading the episode guides for ones I haven’t had a chance to see.

I’ve always disliked Ghosts R Us. I realize the show was for kids, but it just seemed to stick out like a sore thumb, the idea of ghosts that were practically people (not to mention over-the-top charicatures) hamming it up, and trying to put the GBs out of business.

That’s my pick for worst.

Ghost-R-Us was horrible.

Janine You’ve Changed was rediculous.. it was when they restyled her character and had the person who voiced her change.

They went as far as to completely point it out and devote an episode to it.

I never realized how much I disliked the second Janine voice.

The show realised they’d gone down a deadend alley and they had to bring Straczynski back in to fix the meddling of the network execs.

Yeah, it was no patch on Laura Summer’s voice. She carried sarcasm so well.

Just watched Boo Dunit. What a freakin horrible episode! Probably some of the worst animation in the whole show. Whoever wrote that ep must have been on crack!

I’ve now had the opportunity to watch the later-run episodes that never made it to the UK…

There’s plenty of contenders for “worst episode” in that bunch, in fact some are so bad that the worst episodes of the first three series are great in comparison.

It’s too tough to call, between episodes where main members of the cast are absent and given lame reasons for being missing, aweful animation and artwork and baseline crap storylines I don’t think we’ll ever truely decide on what the ‘worst’ episode is.

the episode i didnt like was ghost busted it was to far fetched i also didn’t like the venk man one or the animation studio one i think the best episodes are from the first and second seasons

Night Game

Chicken, He Clucked

Why do you two feel those were the worst episodes?

i think its because there to out there.i like all of the real ghostbusters episodes personally though. i guess some people don’t like them because the more realistic an episode is the more people like it.i like that also but i just see the real ghostbusters more as a fun cartoon to watch rather then something to be taken so seriously i mean if did i think i would end up hating it because there are quite allot out there episodes.

a deformed guy hates chickens so he sumons a demon to get rid of them…chickens…

I don’t like baseball. I’m probably being way to critical of a cartoon but come on! A baseball game with demons vs the force’s of good? It just seemed really weak to me thats all. It was a Winston heavy epasode since the guys couldn’t do anything to interfere. I did like how it it turned out to be peters soul that was being played for.

I think those are two of the reasons why it’s so good, in my opinion. We’ll see dramatic battles of Good vs Evil on huge battlefields with explosions up the wazoo from here until the end of time, but how many can say there was a battle between Good and Evil on a baseball field?

And it being Winston centric helpsmake up for how underused he was in the movies.

Evil-Ed316: I’ll agree that it’s a pretty zany plot, but I’m sure if you’ve seen the whole 140 episode run that you’d agree there are worse episodes than Chicken, He Clucked.

yeah they have the good and the bad

I love everything about the RGB but it changed way to much after season 3 when they put Slimer in the title to make it more kid friendly :? & when they changed the voice actors of Peter, Winston & Janine. I kinda went of the show after these changes but would still watch it now but in my opinion most episodes after the changes were not that good, the first few seasons were fantastic!

I cant really pinpoint a exact episode that was bad but i know one that im really fond of is “The thing in Mrs Favershams attic”, this was a true classic well written & besides i think the ghost was scary haha

I actually just watched The Halloween Door yesterday, for the first time in like …17 years. And I literally laughed out loud at how awful it was. No offense, I mean it had some decent moments, and I kinda like the idea of honouring the Spirits once a year so they can’t cross into our world, and so on and so forth… but the musical sequence was perhaps the most retarded thing I’ve seen on RGB in a long long time. Maybe I’m just used to watching awesome episodes like Ghostbuster of the Year, and The Headless Motorcyclist, et cetera… but I never wanna see the Ghostbusters performing an onstage musical again! Especially Egon!!!

this thread has been dead for about a year so i think ill start it up again.

I think any episode with lewis tully was horrible. If he was going to be in the show why didn’t it start out with him?

I also hated the one where they were hooked on a specific type of potato chip and it made them allergic to ghosts.
