Favorite RGB episode

Hiya everyone I saw the thread that was started about wheat everyones thought on the worse RGB episode. Im wondering what everyones personal favorite episode was. My favorite will always be KNOCK KNOCK. My other hobby will always be railroading living in Philly about 2 blocks from our subway elevated line and the very 1st episode I ever saw was Knock Knock where the subway trains got possessed because the doomsday door was opened. Im alittle confused that because I understand that that was the pilot episode but it wasnt shown until the 2nd season? Why was that? You can tell it was the 1st cause you here Winston saying that the crowd loves them and then later Ray saying I wonder if the news is doing anything on us. In later episodes they never cared about that . The animation was great and that episode showed what the 1st 2 season were. They were alil dark but they had plenty of humor and they were fun and enjoyable.

I’ve got several favorite episodes, but my all time favorite was When Halloween Was Forever. I love Halloween anyway and I thought it was a great story idea. My only complaint is, it wasn’t a two part episode, I think it seemed a little rushed and the story could have justified using a whole hour.

My other favorite episodes are, in no particular order:

Play Them Ragtime Boos(I thought Malikay was a great, mysterious ghost, with a genuine purpose for what he was doing.)

Mr. Sandman(just liked this one, Mr. Sandman was pretty cool)

The Halloween Door (great memories of watchin’ it the first time it aired)

Halloween 2 1/2(was okay in my opinion, could have been better, but it was Halloween)

I forget the name of this one, but it had the ghost of Casey Jones the train engineer. I love trains and always thought this was a cool epsiode.

Flip Side

citizen ghost i like the background story to slimer and seeing them battle the ghost forms of themselves.

The episode with Casey Jones again is another one of my favorites becuase it involved trains. You see the way Peter acted with trains in that episode. Thats the way I act. Haha. The name of that one was Last Train to Oblivion

Citizen Ghost, giving the backstory and bridge between the original movie and the cartoon

Knock Knock, because I watched it over and over (the only episode i ever had on video)

When Halloween Was Forever - Samhain, and I love Halloween

The Bogeyman Cometh and The Bogeyman Is Back - who doesn’t like watching the GBs go against the Bogeyman?

Any of the epsidoes from the first season.. or made early on.

After about the first dozen or two dozen episodes the whole series goes downhill.. they lose that attention to detail in the drawings and start to have Batman type senarios.

Oh the ghost thrives on negative energy! If we reverse the polarity.. blah blah.

Or:

The ghost is class 7 blah blah.. oh.. lets use the class 7 ghost bomb eliminator I just happen to have.. etc.

Oh man I just watched the Halloween Door over on youtube. Man I dont remember that episode but damn that was a fun episode. The only problem with it on youtube is the beginning is missing. I read on spook central that the episode had a special intro and ending. Does anyone know where I can see it? I thought the animation and the storyline was great. Funny seeing the RGB singing and dancing. Haha

I enjoyed “The Collect Call of Cathulu” if only for the H.P.Lovecraft reference.

Don’t know the name but Peter and Slimer switched “bodies”

And again, I can’t remember the name of the episode, but Egon was turned into a were-chicken.

The intro and ending weren’t ‘special’, per se… they were created/edited unique to the station that was broadcasting it. Only ‘full’ version I’ve seen (Although it has bits missing from near the middle of the story) just had the episode opening on an exterior shot of the Firehouse with cast credits.

I still have it on VHS, from it’s original air date… It’s been a while since I watched it, but it did have a special opening. I think part of it was comprised of clips from that episode… I don’t remember at all what the credits were like though.

Mine has to be Flip Side. Peoplebusters rock!

Hmmmmmm this is quite tough to decide as there was so many episodes, for now i gotta say “Ragnarok & Roll” as one of the ULITMATE best ones to watch, great story quite touching at the end! Also this one sticks in my mind cos at the climax of the story the scene is on a massive skyscraper much like in GB1

I have to agree with AJ, in that I like the first episodes pretty much equally. However, if I had to pick one absolutely, it would be the one with the Banshee in the rock band. I guess the only reason I really feel that way is because I have a random vivid memory of eagerly discussing the episode with my friends after it had just aired (winston’s cool red hair, etc)

I can’t remember the name of the episode, which was the one where the RGB’s actually met their “counterparts” for the Movie roles at that studio?

Banshee Bake a Cherry Pie

Murray, Aykroyd and Ramis did have their names mentioned in Take Two, but they didn’t actually appear in the episode.
