All four reboot ghostbusters in gear - Update: Dec 16th

The belts need more stuff. lol.

Absolutely. I’m excited for the new film but I don’t begrudge anyone for not liking it. Attacks on people that don’t share the same opinion is asinine though. We’re all here to celebrate ostracized nerds who fight the supernatural with homebrewed nuclear weapons.

I’ve been waiting for that full cast pic ever since filming started, and it looks great. I want a higher res shot!

The two on the right

Higher resolution photo:

Right Click to view in new window. This one is much bigger (2400x1603)and clarity with the correct Colours and Sat.

Also want to point out that chinese restaurant is “ZHU’s Authentic Hong Kong Food”. Sound familiar?

Another note is that McCarthy still has the “Yates” nametag, and Wiig’s nametag starts with “GIL”.. so not sure where they are getting these names.. as they aren’t the right names listed on IMDB.

I like how big the neutrino wands are. They look more like neutrino shotguns. Ghost boom sticks.

I’m not required to sit and agree with everyone. I’m not attacking people or anything like that, but you guys feel the need to single me out for taking issue with the film.

That’s on you. Those of you jumping on this movie’s bandwagon have the right to do so, but don’t get all uptight when not everyone decides to join the collective.

Cleaned up the high resolution one a bit…

That yellow beacon just ruins the whole car. I MIGHT have been decent looking with a real lightbar. Some of the rack looks okay, but that thing…This isn’t Blues Brothers…

Whoops, uploaded it incorrectly… Here you go!

Yeah, pictures are great and all, but I need something more substantial to get the leaked story pitch out of mind.

Fair enough.

Strong opinions against this movie have expressed throughout threads and message boards for the last half year. It feels as though the point has been sufficiently made. A sizable number of people have already decided that they don’t like it. Hell, some of us on the bandwagon may even decide we don’t like it after seeing it. Nonetheless, people also have the right to get uptight.

I moved to Portland four years ago. There’s no baseball team and no football team. It’s weird. But these people looooove soccer. They’ve got the Timbers. Their fans call themselves the Timbers Army. They seem to have the same fervor I used to see in Packers fans, but I don’t understand where it comes from at all.

If you didn’t like soccer, would you go to a soccer game, sit in the stands and tell everyone around you how much you don’t like soccer? Would you repeatedly insist that football is the American pastime to people trying to watch the game? Would you proclaim in detail how much better the NFL is?

Sure, you’ve got the right to do it. But that’s how riots start. Pretty soon you’ve got face-painted fans beating the ■■■■ out of one another, dumpsters full of grandmothers being lit on fire, hooligans eating Tom Brady’s face – it gets messy.

I recall a bunch of hype surrounding the release of Episode 1 and the subsequent prequels. Magazines (I was a member of Insider at the time), books, toys, Pepsi cans, the list really goes on and on. Then the release happened. That movie came out in '99 so I would have been 15 and I remember walking out of the theater going “what the hell was that?” but with a slight mixture of joy from finally getting a new Star Wars at the same time.

What I’m saying is, we haven’t seen the movie yet, in fact, we don’t even know one single line from the script. We’ve seen a few photos. Why are we deciding whether or not we hate the movie before we’ve even seen it? Me? I’ve decided that I’m going to surrender to my childhood joy and even if it doesn’t live up to my preconceived notions, enjoy it for what it is: a new Ghostbusters movie.

YES! New desktop background!

Lol, I’m on board, but I’m not going THAT far. To each their own haha.

Kristen Wiig is kinda hot, not gonna lie. LOL!

Zooming in on the picture:

*You can make out that Leslie’s necklace says “Patty.”

*Wiig’s nametag reads “Gilb” so Gilbert?

So there is some truth to the Wikipedia page.

Perhaps Wiig is the female counterpart of Egon, with that certain aspie air about it. But true, she does look sad, not just serious, in the pics we’ve seen.

Leslie looks like the ungoverned bus shouting “get outta my way I ain’t got no brakes and I ain’t gonna care!!” in all directions, in ghetto stereotypical style. McCarthy might be the clumsy one, McKinnon might be the rebel one, in a venkman-ish style? Wiig the brainy but less sensitive one, in egon-ish style, who manages to keep the capacity for rational thought running up only to loose it on the final scene. But I hope I’ll be surprised and find all this conjecturing to be wrong!

But DO they look badass indeed!

I hope it’s a rags to riches story. How amazing would it be if they threw out all the “reboot rules” and after they got famous, outta no where there’s the original Ecto-1 in all her glory, instead of that car that looks like a hearse for dead clowns. I would be very ok with that.
