Thanks mate. Yeah the powercell window is cut and the blue lens is installed (one of the first things i did when i started my pack). Ive yet to make the discs for the EDA, havent quite made up my mind what to make them out of yet.
Was just going to start fitting the resistors in the iron arm but my chuffin’ drill battery is flat. Dont you just hate it when that happens
I just borrow the battery from the spare.
How you planning to attach the resistors?
My iron arm is a solid lump of wood with a couple of bits of di-bond on the side so i was planning to just screw them on using some little black screws. The large one that goes on the outer edge of the iron arm might be fun though. Ill see if i can drill a hole and thread it in. Not sure if the threads on it will hold up to that sort of abuse though as its only resin. Might end up making the hole slightly bigger and just using some glue… if that will hold it 
Been busy but a little progress… fitted the red lenses on the cyclotron, resistors on the iron arm, also made an N-Filter…
Nick-a-tron very kindly sent me a HGA as mine was a little too big so i had to saw off the mounting “plug” that the old one used to slide onto in order to fit this new one on…
and here is how she stands at the moment. Cant wait to get my hands on the brass fittings and little bits ive got coming, then i can get busy with the hoses

So as my pc was overheating something rotten i decided to give her a break and play with my pack for a bit (as ya do hehe). Fitted some stickers and got busy with some weathering…
Hope all my brass fittings and stuff arrive soon, im gagging to get the pack done and start on the gun. Plus my dad (who is doing the lights and sound for me) could really use the physical item to work with rather than plans so he can see how much room he has to play with.
I simply dont have the time to make a gun from scratch though, work is getting busy and my wife has been getting ill over the last few years so im needed round the house more recently. Still got my eye on a Nick-a-tron kit when i get paid for some of this artwork im doing for people lol
Oh and still got to mix some of the fine glow-in-the-dark powder i had left over from a guitar paint job with something and do some dribbles of slime on my pack here and there. I was gonna go with silicone but it might be a bit thick, i might go with watered down PVA glue instead so it can dribble a bit. Also thinking of getting my little girl to stick a little (she’s only 3 years old) glowing hand print on there somewhere, maybe on the side of the iron arm

I think silicon would be a good choice, because you could just peel it off easily, if you decide you don’t like it.
Adding some light glow in the dark detail is an awesome idea.. if you take it into a club, suddenly the glow detailing will really pop, but it would be subtle under normal lighting.
I absolutely loooooove that weathering job. Any pointers?

The weathering turned out ■■■■■■ gorgeous, that dibond stuff is great.
Thanks for all the input/comments guys. I thought long and hard about silicone for the glow in the dark bits but i just dont think it has the “splat” power of PVA glue. As far as the weathering goes, i just used a small flat file (the type modelers use). On the parts that were dibond i just filed the paint off to reveal the allu underneath on areas that would see wear and tear. On the parts that were resin/fiberglass/MDF i had sprayed them chrome first the applied the black so it was a case of just removing some of the black paint gently with the same file. Just bear in mind where the pack would see contact with things that may cause scratches. For instance dont bother putting any weathering on the cyclotron close to the bumper because the bumper would protect that bit.
While im waiting for the brass fittings and stuff i thought i would have a quick play with the glow in the dark powder. I added some of the powder to some watered down PVA glue and applied it to the top of the pack
Outside in bright sunlight it is a very light greeny colour…
Then if you bring it indoors (still pretty bright but darker than outside) the green really pops…

Might not water down the PVA glue though, this powder is very heavy and it just sinks to the bottom so you have to drain off all the extra glue before you get to the “good stuff”. If i dont add water to the glue it might be thick enough for the powder to not sink but then again, with it watered down you can do some nice splat effects. We shall see
If you don;t mind it glossy, looks for Future floor wax, or any floor wax labeled “powered by future”. (They’ve rebranded it.)
Basically its a thin tough as nails liquid polmer, that dries with a VETY glossy finish. It can be brushed on, or even air brushed.
You could just brush some on, and then sprinkle the glow powered into it, and once its dry, shake the excess off, and put it back into the jar for future use.

Well ive not been able to do much over the last few days but i have applied all the “slime weathering”. I ended up sticking with PVA glue and mixing a decent amount of the glow in the dark powder into it before flicking and dribbling it all over the pack.

It came out really well i think and im loving the way it looks. Just got to find a bit of yellow tubing/wire for the iron arm and make the two little blocks that stick out of the bottom of the cyclotron. Then i can put the red and blue tubing on the side from the tubes.
Should have some news on the sound/lights my dad is making soon too
