i keep getting this message after i try to edit a post i just made: “You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.” its an annoying pain in the ass, can you get rid of or something aj?
ALL the time.
Super, super irritating.
glad im not the only one getting it
It’s the post timer. Most message boards have them built in to prevent someone from going spam crazy.
Ah hm…i’m surprised Ecto96 never mentioned this hahaha, just joking man, you rock!
I can see limiting the amount of posts someone can make within a period of time; it prevents trolls from flooding the boards with junk. What I don’t see is why edits should count towards that. They aren’t separate posts, and it’s really obnoxious when you’re forced to wait around before making a correction or addition.
I’m not certian why editing a post also triggers this… I’ve not dug into the phpbb code enough to figure out why.
True.. I am keeping the timer on for posts. It is needed for posting, to kind of cut down on the short posts one after the other.
I will do some coding and get rid of it when editing. I always get caught up with the “flood” timer when I edit posts.
cool, thanks aj
Done.
Very funny GBFreek, hilarious >.>;
