Arizona Ghostbusters At Phoenix Costume Walk Pics 1/4/2008

Last Friday the Arizona Ghostbusters attended a costume walk hosted by the Phoenix Cactus Comic-Con as a promotional event. Besides us there was about 25 walkers. They picked 5 walkers with the best costumes to get free passes to the con. We covered the same area as the zombie walk back in October and made two passes. We followed the main group and passed out twinkies to people along the walk route. I hope to get more pics soon. As always we had a great time as well as everyone else and we made a conscious effort to not use thumbs up in every picure.

Introducing our newest team member, Matt23Matt from the boards here.

Walking

I still want to paint this thing red. It’s very RGB containment unit.

With members of the local zombie club Z.C.O.R.E., we will be hosting a zombie survival panel with them at the con.

Wow! You guys are always doing something. Keep up the good work!

Thanks. We knock on alot of doors for the events we do, and the goal is to be invited to come back the next year. Besides all we’re doing at the local comic con we’re also planning another charity walk in March and we’ll be doing some fundraising in February for it. As we always tell people, we put too much work into our gear to just use it once a year, and if we can use it to do some good in the community or help a friend out, it makes it even more worth while.

No thumbs up!!! Congratulations man!!! You guys deserve a candy bar!!! Don´t you get wet spots on your flight suit afther the walk??? i mean, protonpacks are heavy, so you must end up very tired right?

The “no thumbs” were just for you. Well we’ve done a 5 mile MS Walk, 3 mile Diabetes Walk, the Zombie Walk, and this walk. It seems crazy at first, but when you think about it, it’s no more than you walk at an average convention. Just like at those, you walk and then stop for a dozen pics and then move on. That’s probably what keeps us from getting completely exhausted. San Diego was the worst on fatigue actually. Even here I don’t think it’s ever been bad enough we’ve had visible wet spots and we wear a full layer of clothing under our suits which probably helps that. The main factor is our lack of humidity. I know I’ve been able to wring it out before with sweat, again at San Diego, the whole suit was a wet spot at that point.
