Aykroyd an executive producer for gb reboot?

I haven’t seen this mentioned yet but I just saw a news vid with aykroyd on Facebook and he says he’s gonna be an executive producer for the reboot. Anyone else see this or hear of this and what’s everyone’s thoughts?

That’s not really news.

He owns a portion of Ghostbusters. Pretty much everyone that owns a piece will be listed as an executive producer. Its basically just a bogus title… but they can’t make it without him.

Oh I noticed my phone did that lovely auto correct bs. So if someone could fix the spelling on the subject title I would appreciate it. Also this mite not be news to some of the die hard gb fans on here it was still news to me. I did not know that either way they would still have some say with this reboot. So thanks for that info AJ. It was something I did not know but now do.

Think I was able to fix the subject title.

I love how Dan Aykroyd is so optimistic. It is kind of contages. He also love how confident he feels that the script that he wrote for Ghostbusters 3 could still be used at some point. I guess I can go back to looking forward to that script for another 30 years. Since I’m not really looking forward to this vision.

He has to be optimisitc or they get in trouble with Sony, like how quickly Hudson took his fb post down last month. He has no say in what they do but they’ll probably let him on set and watch.

The answer is Dan is mildly retarded.

Oh sorry. That’s not socially acceptable anymore.

He has a mild form of autism, which is obvious from his interviews, or if you ever talked to him, ever…and it seems to get worse with age.

Just because you don’t like or agree with what Dan is saying (I don’t like it either), there is no need to simply attribute his opinions and optimism to him simply being autistic. To do so is just as insulting as calling him mildly retarded.

Sorry, but this just hits a sore spot with me.

Like others have said, he has to be seen to be optimistic about the reboot or he gets into trouble with Sony.

He has also said in a previous interview that he’s given optimistic reviews of movies (contractually obliged or otherwise) even when he’s known the movie is going to be a stinker. Whether this will be a similar case remains to be seen
