BEGINING NO GHOST LOGO

Has anybody else caught that the beginning no ghost logo in the ghostbusters text is different then every other no ghost logo.

Yeah i have, and i’m sure that in some clips the logo on there flight suits, the ghost looks fater :whatever: or they are useing the same one in the TEXT…

I was hoping i was not the only one.

I’ll have to check the blu-ray for the flight suit logo, but i could be wrong :whatever:

is this what youre talking about?

yes, the logo is distinctly different between the title screen, the patches in the movie and the “official” logo (seen on the Ecto-1, as well as GB merch) not sure why or how these things happen?

his left arm is different looks like there is an extra bumb or ripple. and the line in his stomach looks different. I had never noticed.

I know it looks well not good!

When you’re producing a film, consistency can often be lost in the process, a lot of time and effort is ploughed into keeping track of continuity alone.

Par example, the animated logo at the start of Ghostbusters II has two legs! An old story suggested the first ‘final design’ of the logo was lost, and it was quickly redone, but they forgot to add the second leg.

hmmmmm, I see.

Hey does the little ghost in the logo even have a name? O_O

He is the “No Ghost”

Casp…

I mean, No-Ghost. yeah No-Ghost.

lol okay. I just thought maybe he had an extra nickname.

I always called him “fatso” ;-)…

I was going to begin a thread like this myself, because this has been bugging me for years  No Ghost is distinctly chubbier but that could be because the red bars themselves are thinner.

It’s especially noticeable on the cover of the Master System game, the text was ripped from the movie but the logo is the clean ‘official’ style.

I kinda want to get more ‘accurate’ arm patches based on fatter logo, but I don’t think I can be bothered forking out the extra cash for them.

Perhaps it was because the main title logo was animated, and it was done (usually) by an outside company.

We can also blame them for it being referred to as “Ghost Busters” on IMDb.

I never caught it, goddamn does that look awful!

The title sequence was in-fact done by an outside source - R/Greenburg & Associates:

*And yes I know the scan sucks…

I’m surprised they didn’t re-do the intro and fix it for the Blu-ray release. You know, pull a Dick Donner (Superman 2) kind of thing?

Maybe they didn’t have the raw footage, minus the logo animation.

Maybe they didn’t care about fixing it.
