Bill Murray....

im team murray.

lol I’m pretty sure we all know that by now PC.

It’s been said before but I wish Bill would stop acting like a ■■■■ and just do the movie. What’s he have to lose? He’ll get paid for it and maybe rekindle his career which lately has fissled a bit. If he’s seeing the script stinks I understand his attitude, but maybe instead of refusing to do it he’d step up to the plate and demand a rewrite until he’s happy with it.

He doesn’t care about the franchise because he doesn’t want to do an indignity to it by making a ■■■■■■ sequel? If it’s not an amazing film I’d rather it not get made. Look at Indiana Jones for a perfect example of a franchise they should have just left rest in piece.

I guarentee you that actors care more about the paycheck than any perceived “indignity” caused to the franchise. If Bill cared about that kind of thing he wouldn’t have made the Garfield movies. Why must you assume it’s not going to be a good film automatically?

how about he doesnt want to make a ■■■■■■ film? he’s grown out of the movie for paycheck thing. you must know how incredibly hard it is to get ahold of him right? its to keep him from making more ■■■■■■ films like osmosis jones and that one with the elephant. the people behind garfield got lucky. thats all. if he doesnt want to make ghostbusters because the script is shit, you cant blame him. he’s not being an ■■■■■■■. if i were him i wouldnt do it either. ■■■■ making you people happy, because the majority of you arent happy with the game and the comic series, what makes you think the movie would be any better? you’ll bitch about something im 100 percent postive. id bet one of my nuts on it.

im team murray.

With the way you are acting (taking this so personally) I’d almost say you are Bill Murray himself. Regardless my point simply is Bill is one of the people in control of this movie. If he actually worked with the scriptwriters and his fellow actors he might be able to help get a good movie on the screen. He doesn’t have ignore everyone and wish the thing would go away. There is another option: like I said work with everyone to make it a great movie. Afterall if he doesn’t want this to happen at all it can’t (since he is one of the rights owners).

I mean I don’t want the movie made if it’s not going to be made right (so don’t get me wrong). I know Murray can work with them to make the script and resulting movie good, he’s simply refusing to. That’s my gripe about his attitude more than anything.

my job isnt to work with them on writing and my “fellow actors”. if they want to do a good movie and me in it, they’ll get me in it. if they want a ■■■■■■ movie, and me in it, they wont get what they expect. im not a ■■■■■, i dont do whatever for a paycheck anymore.

i mean really. fellow actors? have you seen anything danny’s done in the last i dont know 15 years? its ■■■■.

Wow, now you are really writing as if you were him. Well, I don’t know if you are really Bill Murray or not for sure (I guess it’s possible), but I don’t think you understand what I meant. I wasn’t saying Bill had to write the script, just that he be willing to “work with” the writers via input into the script (IE, yes I like this or no, I don’t like that). Afterall if the script’s no good, no movie with him in it will happen. If rumors are true Bill is refusing to return phone calls which certainly does not help the chance for input be possible.

As for the statement about fellow actors, I grant you Dan’s recent film appearances haven’t set the film industry on fire, and we all know Harold’s “Year One” film wasn’t that great, but you seriously can’t honestly accuse them of not being actors. The acted beside Bill in his films and were in some of their own…they are actors by definition of those facts.

Anyway all Bill has to do here is return phone calls and tell them what he thinks of the progress and what he wants to change about the script as it is now. It’s not that difficult. If he doesn’t and doesn’t like the outcome of the script he can only blame himself for not offering his input into the story and script. The only thing I like that I’ve heard from him so far is the “Venkman as a ghost” idea. If that’s done right and with humor it could work. But I seriously doubt he was being serious about that.

so far im not thrilled with the script they’re giving me. so, if you’re hoping for it to happen, quit blaming me, and start pointing your finger at them. i dont say “hey, lets do this with a script!” i improvise on the spot with the script im given or not given if i take on a part.

have you seen any of my movies? i mean really seen any of my movies?

bottom line, i dont have to do anything i dont want to.

Bill if that’s really you, I have indeed seen your movies. I actually think most all of them are good believe it or not. I also think you turned in brilliant performances in them, and frankly I believe you should have won the Academy award for “Lost in Translation”. If how you really work great is through improv with the script as a guideline ( I think I’ve read that about you before) then I can see why you are reluctant to do it different. That said, if you don’t like the script have you even told them what is was you didn’t like specifically or is it everything about it?

I really wish I could influence the powers that be to make the script good, but what can I do? I am in no real position of influence. If you are really are Bill Murray you are much closer to being in that position than I am.

:sigh:

I vote tiger woods being the “bad guy” in gb3. And he rapes Bill’s character Venkmen and he dies.

Like Ernie said, I just wanna see if Winston lives on the street. And if he does I wanna know why!

I think ProtonCharger is Tony Clifton also.

i worked with andy a few times when he was still performing. he’s a golf guy, so i shut down one of the greens in florida so we can hit some ■■■■■ and shoot some shit. obviously, mr.pecker doesnt have any idea how production process works. really, danny cant do much outside of come up with a neat idea. he needs other peoples input to make his idea better. thats why he worked so well with john, john would say “danny. no.” but most of the time he was up for pretty much anything. ive got better things to do, than tell them how to write a story. they should already know how to do that. i keep telling them if they have to have me in this script for the sake of having me, and its still looking as bad as it is, i want to die in the first reel.

its not rocketscience. maybe it will get you people off my back, i get your money, and then my only regret would be ghostbusters 3 instead of garfield.

would you like that on your conscious? getting gb3 even if its a giant load? would you want any part of a giant steaming pile?

lol proton ur lovin this act arent you. lets face it Bill wouldnt have a name like protoncharger, would be somthing like GBfansrfagz or IhateRamis

       :whatever:

what makes you people think you’re qualified to call me Bill? and then wonder why its so difficult for you to get my autograph when im eating, or grocery shopping?

show some respect. im sure you would get offended if people are bitching and moaning about you being so difficult to work with, and then they call you by name like you worked together in second city.

Bill Murray is Tony Clifton??? I tought that ANDY was Tony (and Zmuda sometimes…) and we all know that Andy Kaufman is still alive!

I’m with Bill on this (no, not you protoncharger lol). If it’s not worth doing then don’t do it at all. I don’t think he hates the franchise or anything, I just think he’s tired of people asking him about a sequel being made to a movie that came out over 20 years ago. If he really had disdain for the franchise he would have never done the video game. He’s said before that the reason he didn’t like doing work on Gb2 was that the special effects got in the way of the script. He’s also quoted as saying that he thinks the first hour or so of Ghostbusters is some of the funniest stuff ever. So, I don’t think its a problem of him disliking the franchise, but rather wanting a good script that gets back to the characters and not just special effects that are OMG 4 TEH WINZ!!!11!!!

Can’t say I blame him.
