My bumper keeps splitting up the middle everytime I tighten up the holding screws. Anybody have a better way of holding the bumper on? Siimliar to this picture

Well if it’s splitting your putting too much pressure on the bumper. I can think of a two ways to fix this.
First, use a steel spacer that the screw will pass thru. Cut the spacer to the depth of the bumper and drill the hole out to accept the spacer. This spacer will act as a stress relief and prevent you from putting too much stress on the bumper.
Second, use a double threaded brass insert. Acts just like the steel space but will allow you to tighten down the bumper and not over tighten. Not sure if this would be the best way considering you are saying that the bumper is already splitting.
The idea in both is to remove the stress your placing on the bumper.
