New guy probably trying something many noobs have tried before but all the same I have to try. I’ve been lurking on the news site for a year now, but posting on the Mattel GB forum leads me to believe I may actually have fun posting on these forums as well.
I’m trying to get Mattel to create a “Classic” 6 inch action figure line from The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. To do that, retailers need to start making inquiries as well as fans. I’m hoping the petition link at the end of this post not only gets your signature, but that you might spread the word anywhere you can think of people who might sign. I’m willing to keep door knocking between companies but I need thousands of signatures behind me rather than appearing as a lone and loud fanboy. Any help is appreciated!
Mattel is putting out some of the best GB stuff to come out in years. I’m definitely putting my money behind this stuff. If they do a 6" RGB line I’ll buy that as well.
hehe If I use the board regularly, I certainly don’t mind paying dues. As you can see from my post count and join date, it hasn’t stuck yet, but this can change.
I have been buying the figures, every GB figure, and I have voiced my interest in RGB figures along with how a line may be done with significant buck reuse. However I’m one noisy fan. I think if it’s really going to be done it has to be demonstrated to be profitable. One way is to get a store to show interest. Even a thousand signatures might be enough to convince BBTS to test the waters with an exclusive RGB toy. I guess I’m just being a greedy collector. My kids love RGB so it would be awesome to get into this with them right from the start of a line and at an age where they would enjoy playing with them.
Thanks for any signatures folks. It was a slow first day but I haven’t really got the word out for it yet.
I like the board enough. I joined to support it and if I use it more will support it more. I’m disappointed with the number of signatures on the petition but I have to admit I could do more to get the word out for it.
It’s a bit of an eye opener as well. When TG says it’s not a priority, I guess he’s right that this is something the market can wait for.
