Non-destructive, fully reversible v-hook upgrade for your Haslab pack! Three piece laser cut aluminium, then hand-finished, replicating some of the lovely wonk that the Phoebe hero v-hook had, with accurate grub screws to attach to the pack. I should also shout out that this was designed with help from the wonderful forum user RedSpecial at Stuart Thomson Studio!
These are a direct replacement for the existing v-hook, and don’t require any cutting or drilling of your pack. The mounting plate is a straight replacement of the plastic one, and the v-hook itself drops into the mounting holes, utilising the existing washers and nuts inside the pack. Once you’ve got the motherboard off the pack this is a two minute installation job. They fit the existing female v-hook on the Spengler wand too.
Just wanted to reply here for anyone in the US to say I received my V-hook in about 20 days from Toby, and it is delightfully wonky. I have yet to install it on my pack, but it does fit my original (non-orange tip) Spengler wand perfectly.
I got mine finally the other day as well, they are indeed wonky, but work quite well, nice tight fit with existing hardware. I used a fine file to clean the edges/straighten em a bit, but it was worth the purchase. Fits spengler wand snug, easier to get on while wearing pack as well (that little spacer makes quite the difference)
I took a risk and hammered the upper part of the wand-side vhook instead. I didn’t do a great job to one side of it but there’s much less wobble now. I didn’t want to file it because I didn’t want it the wand to sit any lower than it already is. Hasbro didn’t do an accurate job of how high the wand is suppose to sit.
Other than having to do that the hooks look FANASTIC. Great attention to detail.
Finally got around to installing this. Been holding off on modifying my Haslab Proton Pack so I can do all of them in one-shot. Thank Toby!! Works great with my 1st Gen Spengler Wand.
