Everyone jumped on me for not making moulds of them before I “finished” (they’re still not really done) them up.
So, I finally got around to “correcting” this and actually took castings out of the new moulds today. This is actually the fourth trap I’ve built. So, I guess you can say I’m well practiced.
Unfortunately I’ve got no pics of the actual build up same story as what went down in the giga meter thread :x
Here’s some pics of the master and some of the first castings:
MDF (medium density fiberboard) - fast, cheap, and easy to work with.
The only set back was having to use fair bit (not a ton) of spray paint to seal off the wood and then use steel wool to give it a smooth surface. This is opposed to styrene, which is what I usually work with, which already has a perfect surface but is far more expensive.
