Hey what are people using to power the giga meter? I have a 4AA case that lights everything up but is too big for the body housing and the 2AA case doesn’t give enough juice. Is a single 9volt the way to go?
Are you using a kit? I’d ask Heavy Props what you’re supposed to use. AA x4 is 6 volts, so if it is only rated for 6 volts than a 9 volt could ruin it.

I’m having problems with getting the leds lit is there a certain way you got a hold of him or is it hush hush? lol

Just stay below 12 volts. A 9 volt should do fine.
I know heavy props said electronics instructions would be on Facebook. was anyone able to transfer it to YouTube for the non facebook users ?
Can anyone confirm 9v won’t fry the board? If so would a single 9v battery do? Or should we be using six 1.5v batteries instead??
According to Kris, 15 volts is the max, but at 15 volts it would start to get hot and would require a heat sink to keep it cool. 12 volts is a reasonable cap, even in my tests I never went above 12. 9v worked fine during my testing as well.
The only thing on FB is a bunch of pictures showing how to install the Led’s in the dome.

What did you use as a 12 volt?
Has anybody had difficulty with their LEDs not working? My power and 4 of my ear LEDs are not lighting up and my potentiometer isnt changing the ones that do from static.
I should also say that I have taken each of the LEDs individually and connected them directly to the power source and still not got and power to them. Which leads me to believe there might be something else wrong.
The tutorial on HeavyProps FB page is very straight forward. I’m totally not experienced and although it took me awhile worked like a charm. All I would say is take your time and solder/trim the LEDs as you go through cause it’s a pain when they are all glued in and not trimmed.
It was just in testing so I used a power supply. If I wanted 12 volts in batteries in the Giga then I would get something like this and 8 rechargeable batteries and build a battery pack. Using 8 AA batteries VS a single 9volt will give you longer battery times. It would be heavier, though.

M2.6 according to the spec sheet.
