This is basically what I was thinking: the actors from the original Ghostbusters who have passed shorten the list of possibilities significantly. I also feel like, you have to feel confident the audience will recognize the character/actor or it isn’t worth it.
My money’s on the Sedgwick manager (if they return to the library, why not the Sedgwick?), one of the two university test subjects, or maybe “the stiff.”
I hope it’s the Stiff. Timothy Carhart had quite the varied career since the first Ghostbusters so it’d be nice to see him back in this one.
So I already got my big question answered, but while I’m thinking about it the trailer’s whole dramatic “every ghost they ever caught will be unleashed!”, are we actually getting some good cameos from that? It’s a trailer line so part of me wouldn’t be surprised if they overhyped it and it barely actually played a part in the film.
If this movie wants my money, they need to bust the ghost of Dean Yeager and throw the trap in the middle of the harbor. With Venkman saying, ''You’re a poor Dean, Mr. Yeager…"
Spoiler free review from Greg Miller of Kindafunny. I enjoy KF content and I respect his opinions. He really enjoyed Afterlife but loves the OG movies more.
Do the original Ghostbusters get their own character arcs? Is Phoebe the focus of this installment, or is the main focus shared among the Spengler family?
