Can anyone tell me the exact type of ceramic disc capacitors used on the gizmo. If the exact ones are not known then what type would be the correct size at least.
The disc capacitors are made by Murata and are around 12mm in diameter. I was able to get mine from an actual Sanyo ICC series calculator and that may be the only way as far as I know. Hope this helps.
If i were to buy new ones, what would i be looking for to ensure i get the right diameter?
Electronic Surplus stores have them as well.
I went to a place in KC that has racks and racks of old stuff.
Took me about a while but I found some in a little cubby full of old capacitors.
12mm is about the right diameter you want.
