Haslab pack paint question

I was lucky enough to score a Haslab pack in the limited availability window a few days ago (it’s currently sitting beside the tree as it certainly won’t fit under it!). I don’t have the skills or know how they do a complete 84 conversion, but I’m going to replace the labels and I’d like to knock the weathering back a little without resorting to a full repaint. Is the pack cast in black plastic which would allow me to remove some of the weathering with alcohol or acetone?

Congrats!

Definitely stay away from acetone or terpentine on plastic. It will melt it.

The pack weathering is not like the Hasbro Spenglers wand unfortunately. The Spenglers wand weathering came off very easily with alcohol. The pack is sealed in. The best is to use a Magic Eraser and water.

My own Hasbro Pack weathering project here details the basic steps:

Magic Eraser, not wet, just dry. Does a really good job if targeted removal of the over eager HasLab weathering that they did.
