Hello, my name is Nate. Been a huge Ghostbusters fan my entire life. When I was 4 I use to run around with my proton pack and trap reenacting the entire first movie.
The release of the video game this year has sparked my interest again. I have a 3 year old son. When he saw me playing the game he has now become obssessed with the Ghostbusters. I have every episode of "The Real Ghostbusters cartoon and my son and I watch a few of them every day. I was looking on Youtube at some amazing proton packs and the guy said in the video he found help here to build it.
I have wanted a proton pack my entire life. I am going to build one this coming year. So I’m glad to find this place.
Maybe someone can answer this first question. What is the average cost to build one yourself?
welcome! My 7 yr old likes it too. Depends on what you want. People have build budget packs for a $100 and a “movie quality” pack can run you close to $2000.
Well, I need a good cheap one that I won’t mind my son playing with… but I want a movie copy for myself… I seen some really good ones on youtube with full working lights and sounds… I want one of those… don’t care how much it cost..
I’m not very handy tho, this will be a first for me. I’m good with electronics (or atleast I thought I was until I seen some of the turorials).
my son’s cost me almost nothing (cadboard, plate from MD’s salad, a few spare LED’s, cardboard tubes etc) If $$$ is no object go to the For Sale and get Exoray’s bumper, VX proton pack shell, Exoray’s light kit, MMM for his thrower kit (don’t know if he’s offering them right now) but wait until AFTER Halloween because these geniuses are KILLING THEMSELVES to get stuff out to people for Pumpkin Day, ok?? : P
