I currently have a rothco suit, size xxl. I’m about 240 lbs and the suit fits me good (a little baggy). Im looking into getting a nomex and am not sure what size to get. I’m 5’8’’ 240 lbs. I’m thinking a 44s or 46s would be good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

seconded. 44 or 48 would be too small for you. Nomex run small, so you want the largest you can get.

Hi guys. Kinda the same topic wondering if you could help me out as well. I ordered a Rothco ( didn’t know it was , just said flight suit) Any ways I got a large and while baggy, it fits pretty good. Only problem I have with it is the inseam. When I bend over or crouch down I get major wedgie problems. I’m going to return the Rothco and pick up a Tru-Spec instead. Will the large Tru-spec be OK for me? I’m roughly 180 lbs and about 5’-11" or so. I read some where the Tru-specs come a bit baggier and I didn’t want to look goofy if it winds up being too big. Just order a large tru-spec long
I’m 5’10 and 210lbs; I picked up a 46R Nomex off of eBay. Heightwise it’s great. Waistwise, it’s good - if the suit is supposed to be baggy, I probably should have gone for a 48R since it’s snug around the middle when I sit down.
Unfortunately it was supposed to be the 4.5oz summer Nomex fabric but the seller shipped a regular 6oz Nomex suit. And in the A/C comfort of my house, it started to get frigging HOT! I think I might return it and go for a TruSpec instead.

Yea it sucks. But the rest fits fine which is odd. So if I go bigger with Rothco, its gonna look odd.
DO NOT BUY A LARGER ROTHCO - IT WILL NOT FIT MUCH BETTER
get the same size in Tru-Spec and i guarantee it will have more room where you need it.

Hi! I am in the process of buying a Nomex Flight Suit. I am 5’3" and 165. I am looking at buying it in 38S. Would this be the right size for me?
Got my large Tru-spec last week and it fits perfect. Not much room for cloths underneath but oh well I’d be too hot anyways. Should of gotten a longer fit but didn’t see the post till after I ordered it ( as usual).
I’m 5’ 10" and about 140 lbs, I have a 38R and it fits fine. One thing to consider is what you plan to wear under it–khakis are obviously thinner than jeans. I’d say 38S or even 40S should be ok (but don’t quote me on that).
Only my boxers and a t-shirt underneath.
How about 6’3 and 190lbs?
CrystalHeadVodka, I’d say a 42 or 44L in nomex, depending on your chest size. i take it you are skinny, yes?
If you want a tru-spec, you probably want an XL Long
