Holiday Sale! $85 Pack Lights/Sound/Lenses! NOW TO MONDAY!!!

I’m sorry but I’m getting rather peeved about service after sale- My light & sound kit showed up with no 9V connector and a defective switch and I have yet to get a single reply from Crix after at least 3 PM’s each one 4-7 days apart.

I don’t like airing a grievance in public but I’m getting rather tired of the dead air from the seller.

Crix a simple “I’m swapped, give me “X” amount of time to get a handle on it” would have been fine if not ideal, ignoring messages when you last logged in 24 hours ago is making me feel rather put out.

I understand holidays and all that, hence I have not been a pest, a week between messages has been more than reasonable.

Well i have paid weeks ago and had no replies to my multiple messages either…

Starting to feel like a rip off

The thing about it is that Crix has been here for so long that a noobie like myself knows that sh*/t gets tough when you got people you want to please jumpin up and down. I havent even got my stuff yet, any of it. but i know it will be worth all of the wait

Things being sold shouldn’t be “worth the wait”. It’s this concept that bugs me about the buyers on here. It just entices sellers that it’s “OK” to not produce as promise and waiting for weeks is acceptable.

I was over at Kris’ house earlier tonight. I let him know that you guys are waiting.. so hopefully he can clear up the communication issues soon.

Actually, it is against the forums rules.

  • All Sellers must have the item they are selling in hand and ready to ship, unless otherwise noted.

  • All Sellers should ship their item in a timely manner.

  • All Sellers must keep open communication with their customers.

  • All Sales must be conducted via Private Message or Email. No listing your PayPal account and asking people to send their money. You must acknowledge that you will be able to ship an item to a customer before they pay for it.

  • All Sellers should notify when an item is shipping or has shipped (unless it was shipped immediately at payment).

I know it’s against the rules, but still doesn’t stop sellers from doing it.

There’s no consequence to the actions, so listing a bunch of rules becomes pointless.

My point again- sellers will continue to do this and buyers will further perpetuate it by saying things like, “It’s ok. It will be worth the wait”. :sigh:

there are worse people getting away with breaking the rules than crix. this is not a habit for him.

Give the guy a little time to get through all of the orders and PMs that are un dpubtably flowing in. Adding more messages on top of a huge stack does not make your messages get answered any faster, all it does is take more time away from production, and or shipping of your items. I can understand asking a question if you have a problem, but instead of dumping PMs on the guy. Ask the question on here im sure others will have a simple solution to your issue and help you with it.

Uh . . . we blacklist and remove selling privileges for repeatedly problematic sellers. That’s a pretty big consequence in most people’s book.

I agree. I’m not dumping on Crix exactly.

Someone made a comment on “worth the wait” and I just went off on that comment alone.

Like PC said, there are worse people who continue to break rules yet still sell. From what I’ve seen, the only people who get blacklisted are recasters. At least that’s what it seems like.

Been three weeks since I sent the inital PM reporting the issues with my kit, what do you consider an acceptible period of time?

Three weeks is plenty patient in my book for a defective item with a missing part. 3 pm’s in the same timeframe isn’t unreasonable either.

I know getting something thats not functioning is a pain in the rear, however u have already waited for a long time with out a solution. Had you posted this issue on here after the first week you would have already been using your light kit somuch u have gone through a pack of 9v batteries.

All you need you do is go to a local electronics store and buy the 9v adapter, bring the switch with u and get a replacement.

Then solder on the 5 wires as they appear on the switch install the battery lead by tightening the screw terminals and your good to go for less than $5! And u wont have to wait for a reply from crix or wait for the parts to be replaced.

I was waiting for someone to post this- The cost of the parts isn’t the point, they are easy to obtain from any Radio Shack. The issue is why should I have to buy them again? I have already done so once already.

Pity I have to spend my 100th post bitching about poor customer service and the people who make excuses for it.

I was trying to help! I know the parts are not expensive, and understand your frustration, however im sure if you were to replace the parts and send some know of notice to crix you two could work something out together to ease your frustration. But instead you are here using your 100th post to bitch, and remain unsatisfied. And have a pack with our lights.

Double post

I have already sent notice, for the last 3 weeks if you had not been paying attention.

Its called “feedback”

Service after the sale seems to be this vendors weak point. Several people have pointed out they have already paid for the item in question and have not received the item nor communication from the seller.

I’d politlely point out again, clear violations of the forum sale rules.

And yet somehow I’m the jerk.

To be clear. Did you pay for an item and receive the item in a timely manner?

You said you were missing a 9V connector, and have a broken switch? (How did you test the switch? How is it broken?)

Just to be abundantly clear-

I required no assistance in getting the lights working, the missing and broken pieces were well within the realm of my skill set to replace.

My beef or frustration if you will is with the vendor who has been on the board several times since my initial PM and has not even once taken the time to reply back “sorry about that, I’ll take care of it”

It is very easy to click on someone’s profile to see the last time they were on the board. If you are that busy do you really have time to be checking in every few days without firing off a few PM’s?

I have not badgered them daily, indeed have gone out of my way to wait several days before following up on my last PM. I know it is the holiday season and things can get bogged down.

  1. I did not receive the complete item as advertised (the missing power connector)

Payment was sent on 11/27 and the package did not arrive till 12/9 via U.S. Priority mail. The shipping was a little delayed from what was promised but good enough in my opinion all things considered.

  1. The pack lights would come on when the battery was hooked up no matter what position the switch was in. I cut back the heatshrink around the switch and by manipulating the switch body with moderate pressure could make the lights turn on and off.
