I’m getting a new bicycle soon, and I wanted to busterize it. I’m going to get a white one, then I will put red duct tape on the handles. Afterwards, I’m going to be looking for No Ghost logo bumper stickers (at least 2). And, my favorite part, I’m going to get 2 of those fake license plates for bicycles you can get at Wal*Mart. Of course, I’m going to get the customized ones, but which number Ecto should I give it? Ecto 1, Ecto 1-A, and Ecto 1-B are cars, Ecto-2 is a helicopter, Ecto-3 is a motor-unicycle with a side car, Ecto-4 is a jet (If you google it), Ecto-8 is a boat, the list goes on. So what do you think?
Terrible idea.
Every attempt at a Ghostbusters bicycle thus far has ended up looking like a knock off of Pee Wee’s bike from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. (red and white with fins and extra stuff on the handlebars)
If you DO attempt it, DO NOT use duct tape to change the color of anything. Tape it off where needed and spray paint it. It’ll look a lot less bootleg.
I’ve built three modern Ectomobiles…but even I know not everything needs to be an Ecto.
Yeah, definitely with Chace on this one. Pee-Wee Herman bike snicker
I wouldn’t call it an Ecto. Perhaps just a GB THEMED bicycle? Maybe a few no ghost stickers and a little lined caution tape? Since you have to be safe anyway, you could get some red strobe lights. you could put a Kenner containment unit under your seat to hold tools and chewing gum or whatever it is you kids are hiding these days
Just throwing some ideas if you are following through with this.
Instead of trying to ecto-fy your bike, I’ve often wondered if folks could make one of the wheel LED kits make the logo? Would add a little GB flare to it (or whatever flare you wanted, really).

Holy cow those LED kits are AWESOME!!
Those LED lights are epic! As for the duct tape thing, I agree with you now that that was a terrible idea. Luckily, I have’nt started yet. I am still gathering supplies for it. I can’t seem to find a bumper sticker (or any weather durable sticker) that’s just the No-Ghost logo and is the right size.
If you have access to a decent printer, you could get some sticker sheets from Staples and print them yourself. Just a suggestion.
I wish we had acces to a good printer, the ones at the library suck.
